Chapter 15

"Hey honey, how was your day?" My mom asked.

"Uh. I'll tell you later mom." I walked up the stairs and into my room. She sat down on my bed and began to stare at her hands. "You wanna talk?"

Aminta's POV

I've been really keeping everything bottled up about my mom because i just miss her so much. I hate to bring her up because then I know that it will turn into a water fest. I feel a huge lump in my throat. 

"i miss her." i say quietly. The tears flow down my face. "I m-miss her a lot but I-I figured if I didn't talk about it.... everything.....e-everything..." i feel my voice cracking as it shakes. Glitch embraces me. 

"I know everything is so hard for you Aminta. losing your mom and never seeing your dad again. I am so sorry!" he hugs me tighter. the tears keep on flowing. After a couple minutes of both of us just crying our eyes out. The tears stop. maybe because i haven't eaten or drank anything today. ha. wow i still have the nerve to laugh. 

"You okay?" He asks me. I look to him, my vision still blurry but i could see the red rings around his eyes. 

"ha. you look like you cried more than me." I chuckled. 

"oh please." He gives me a playful push to the shoulder. I push him back harder. he shoves me softer and soon enough i get in his face. 

"Thanks Glitch." I give him a small peck before wiping my tear stained face. "Im gonna go wash my face." I then walk to the bathroom and splash some cold water to my face. 

"GLITCH! Can you come down here?! Like NOW!" I heard May call. 

"Coming!" Glitch burst through his door. I heard his footsteps as he trailed down the stairs. I walked out of the bathroom and sat on his bed. May seemed pretty serious so I don't want to bother them. "WHAT!" I hear Glitch scream. I stand up and run down the stairs. 

"Hey what's going on? is everything okay?" run to the kitchen where i see May standing by Glitch who is jaw dropped. "What happened?" I hear a knock on the front door. I begin to walk to the door before may stopped me. 

"I'll get it. " she says in a  shaky voice. This isn't like her. Me and Glitch block the hallway as we look to the front door. May slowly grabs the door handle and looks through the door hole thingy ( i forgot what its called DONT JUDGE ME!) She gasped and blocked the doorway. The knock came once again. 

"May, aren't you gonna get it?" I say kinda annoyed. I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow. 

"R-right. I-i should just.... g-g-get th-the d-door." She stuttered. 

"Oh my gosh. Fine ." I stomp over to the door. It's probably just Mr.chan. Why is everyone so worried. 

"NO!" May screamed but I already turned the handle. I opened the door to see a man in an army suit. 

"Hello. Who are you?" I asked the man. He looked down at me. he was really tall. 

"Ha. yeah I guess that would be your first expression. It has been a very long time Aminta." 

"Um... are you like a long loss uncle or something?" I ask kinda rude. 

"I think I am a bit more important than an uncle. May I come in?" 

"I don't know. This isn't my house. May?" I turn to her as Glitch and May are both jaw dropped she nods her head. I gesture to the living room. 

"Very nice house May. I haven't been here in the longest time." The mans deep voice was subtle. And he seems so familiar but i just can't see to put my finger on it. 

"Wait, you've been here before? Okay this is getting creepy . who are you?!" I ask urgently. He removes his hat as he says, 

"I am Sergeant Jason uh......." (A/n: guys i forgot minty's last name, so dont judge me) there was a small silence before he sighed. I cross my arms and give him an impatient look. He looks down at his hat in his hands. "The name is Sergeant Jason Ramos." time stopped. After he said his name, I felt like crying. No this can't be. Why does he have the same name as my dad? Maybe it's just a coincidence. But it's not, he also looks exactly like him. no wonder he looked so familiar. That man. standing in May's living room

Is my dad. 

I felt tears brimming my eyes as I covered my mouth and shook my head. I backed away before hitting the wall that knocked me out of my senses. I began to breathe heavily before running straight for the front door. I wasn't wearing shoes so this was pleasant. I bursted out the front door and sprinted to i have no idea where i was going. 

"Aminta Wait!" I hear Glitch call after me which only made me run faster. He knew about this too probably and didn't want to tell me. Tears filled my eyes as I reached the one place I know I was safe. I reached the park but since there were kids there , I ran up the hill that was behind it, while the woodchips are carving memorable wounds into my feet. The stone memorial at the top of the hill I stopped at. I collapsed onto the ground and kept banging my head onto the concrete bench that was there. I threw my hands over it and cried. 

What's going on? What's wrong with me? It's your dad. you should be happy he's alive. I thought. I felt like screaming. I don't know what I'm feeling. I just want my mom. Where's my mom? Why isn't she here anymore? Why can't she be here with me? WHY! I felt a soothing hand on my shoulder. 

"I'm right here Aminta." I hear a voice I never thought I'd hear again. I turn around to look at my mom. She was wearing her bright yellow sundress, and had her hair all curly and down. I give her a hug and cry some more. 

What is going on today? Is everyone coming back from the dead??!

"Mommy I missed you so much!" I hug her as I feel her hands running through my hair. 

"I love you Aminta. And I miss you more." She grabs my shoulders and tells me to look at her. her smile is the one thing that could never be wrong. I miss her so much . "Aminta. your father never died. he went into the army and never knew when he would come back, so we made a grave for him just in case. That's why we never put an ending date on it." I look away. "Aminta. your father is okay now though. You should go see him.  he really missed you and I know you missed him. It may be a lot to take in sweetheart, but you gotta believe me. I have to go sweetheart. But i love you so much! We'll see each other again soon okay? " she cupped my cheeks and gave me a kiss on my forehead. I hold her hands as she begins to leave soon enough she dissapears. 

"AMINTA!" I hear glitch calling me. He runs up the hill and sees me standing in shock. "Aminta." He runs to me and gives me a big embrace. He doesn't say anything after. He just hugs me. I hug him back tighter. "I'm sorry." I begin to cry again. Man I'm such a crybaby. We release the hug as he asks me. "Are you okay?" I sniff before replying. 

"Yeah. let's go back home. " I wipe my tears with my sleeve and head back to the house, to properly greet my NOT dead daddy. 

A/N: OMG!!! i've been waiting for this chapter like FOREVER!!
