Chapter 22

~Recap: 

"You coming?"

"I'm not a dancer here. I'm only a student. I'm not a part of a crew yet or anything."

"Please don't start with this minty. Let's go." he grabbed my hand and pulled me up as we dashed to HQ.   ~

Aminta's POV

We walked into HQ but it was pitch black.

"Hang on. Lemme catch the lights. " Glitch ran over to the light switch, but when they turned on, the sight I saw was not what i expected. I think I died a little inside.

"Surprise! Happy Birthday Minty!" Everyone yelled. There were balloons and confetti. A table with a cake,food and drinks. I completely forgot it was my birthday. After what's been going on, that was the last thing on my mind! All of the crews were there. They all started walking towards me. A huge smiled spread across my face.

"Happy birthday girly!" Emilia and Miss Aubrey came over and gave me a hug. I giggled.

"Who? Who did this?" They all simultaneously looked over to Glitch who was still standing by the light switches. He smiled and waved. He walked towards me.

"Surprise." he chuckled. I started glaring at him. I punched him in the arm.

"Jordan Claus Chan!" I heard snickering behind me as I turned and gave them all a glare. They quickly shut right up. I turned back to him. " I didn't even remember!" I sighed with disappointment. "I'll let you live because I love you." I smirked and tackled him into a hug. We both laughed. Everyone clapped. May came out of nowhere and handed me a medium size box wrapped with mint green wrapping paper and a big pink bow that held it together. I looked it with happiness. I set it down and hugged May.

"You're an amazing person May. I'm sorry you had to deal with me."

"Oh sweetheart. It was my pleasure!" We let go and I held both of her hands and looked at her in the eyes.

"I'm sorry May. but i can't open your gift." I smiled. She frowned.

"Awe. why?"

"Because you're the best gift i could ever have." i hugged her once more.

"You are too sweet! But you are going to open it. I'm not asking. You can open it later though."

"Alright! Enough of this hugging! Let's party!" Glitch started the music as the rest of them bursted towards the dance floor. May walked to the edge where there was a bench for her to sit down. I stayed where I was. I looked longingly at the present she handed me. I picked it up and placed in a corner where no one could ruin it. Someone touched my shoulders as i smiled. I turned to see Glitch staring at me.

"This is your party. Aren't you going to enjoy it?" I took his hands and smiled.

"This is more than anything I could ask for." he rolled his eyes as I laughed.

"I know I know. I'm amazing. Let's go." he pulled me onto the dance floor as we started to tear it up.

After what felt like forever, the lights dimmed as the candles of the cake lit up and everyone started singing to me.

"Happy Birthday today,

May you eat, laugh and play.

May these flames be your worries

As you blow them away." I laughed as I blew them away.

"Well that was different." I giggled.

"What'd you wish for?" Miss Aubrey asked.
