Bria

My eyes were puffy, I could feel them as I raised up out of bed. I looked back down to where I was previously, and took notice of Malik still sleeping soundlessly.

I sighed, my mind going at a rate of 100 miles per minute focused all on one person, Javon.

My eyes began to water. I felt so bad, I didn't do anything. I watched my own best friend get beat up, and all I did was stand there.

The guilt was eating up at me. Making my head ache increase. I closed my eyes rubbing my temple, breathe in, breathe out. With that I walked over to my bathroom grabbing some joggers, black tank top, along with any other necessities I needed.

Minutes later of standing under the shower, my mind still didn't clear of any thought of yesterday.

I leaned my head against the shower walls and shut my eyes tightly.

Why is this eating up at me?

Why can't it go away?

Why does it hurt so much?

Not even a second later, I thought about my choices in life. Why would I choose a life like this knowing that I didn't enjoy the site of it?

The mere thought of having their blood on my heads made me shake.

I thought I could be heartless, but I realized this life ain't for me.

With a new thought in mind, I went downstairs to talk to my parents about me leaving as fast as joining.

Dad was at the table and mom was at in the refrigerator while he was staring at her ass.

"I chose the wrong time to come down I see," I mumble sitting across from dad.  He removed his gaze from mom ass and stared at me.

"Are you okay?" he ask. That question caught my mothers attention and she slammed the fridge door shut looking at me also.

"Honestly, no." I say rubbing my now burning eyes.

"This is about Javon huh?" my dad ask. I nod.

"Are you mad at us?" my mom asked.

"No-"

"Good cause I didn't regret fuckin' that lil ass boy up." my dad interrupt. That irritated me, but I ignored his comment.

"I feel guilty." I say.

"For what? You didn't do nothing. He hit you." my dad say clenching his jaw.

"I know, but I hit him first."

"Still he shouldn't have put his hands on you regardless."

"He's right Bri-"

"I don't wanna do this anymore," I say shaking my head.

It was silent for a minute. I looked down at the table.

"You can't leave." my mom said.
