*Author's note : I know its a short chapter, sorry*

“May I use your restroom?” She asked as we finished our meal

“Yea it’s down the hall to the left”

She got up and walked out of the kitchen as I gathered the empty plates and set them in the sink,

“What the hell why didn’t you tell me you had a girlfriend, well fiancé” I question

“Sorry I just didn’t want to overwhelm you and I just proposed last Sunday”

“I’m really happy for you Zayn, she’s gorgeous and you deserve the world”

“The world? What do you mean” He questioned with a chuckle

“I mean you deserve so much after everything you do for everyone it’s an amazing feeling seeing you so happy, I owe you so much”

“She makes me very happy, but so do you, you’re my little sister, you owe me nothing. I do things for you because that’s my job as your older brother and because I care about you and want to see you happy like before”

Like before Liam left.

“I am happy it’s just hard” I stated. I really was happy, I had everything I could ask for, even though Liam wasn’t here with me, I had him, Zayn and so many of my friend’s support. I had a group of amazing people in my life and even though I was going through all this and it seemed like I wasn’t happy I was, it’s just hard to actually face reality sometimes.

“I know it is Emma, but to be honest I admire you so much” His word pulled on my heart, Zayn was my rock, I couldn’t be more excited to see him with someone who make him so happy because he deserves so much.

“Am I interrupting?” Perrie appeared in the kitchen entrance slightly embarrassed she had interrupted me and Zayn’s talk. I gave her a small smile and nodded. “No it’s okay” I walked over and gave her a hug. She smiled, her arms wrapping around me hugging me back.

“We should get going” Zayn stated as he finished up cleaning my kitchen, we walked out and headed towards the front door.

“I’ll talk to you later” Zayn said as he walked out leaving me and Perrie alone on the front porch.

“It was so nice to finally meet you, I had heard so much about you, you are a very strong girl” She gushed

“It was nice to meet you, I’m really not as strong as you may think” it was true.

“Zayn has told me a lot about your situation”

“I’m sure he has”

“I hope that’s okay, maybe we can hang out just us two and get to know each other since you are pretty much my sister in law now”

“That sounds great I’d love too and of course I don’t mind” I hugged her again “It was really nice to meet you” We pulled away but she held on to my hands

“It really was, I’ll let you know when I can hang” Perrie stated

“I know you’ll take care of him, I love to see him happy” I felt a knot in my throat.

“Of course I will, Zayn makes me happy and I love him dearly” Her words were sincere, the knot in my throat disappeared  as a tear made its way down my cheek, I looked away but when I looked back Perrie also had tears on her face. She hugged me tightly, before she pulled away and wiped her tears as she walked to the car to join Zayn. I watch them drive away waving goodbye as the disappeared down the road. I liked Perrie, she was perfect for Zayn and they made each other happy. Even though we had just met each other she seemed like she really cared. For the first time in such a long time I didn’t feel empty.
