You know, there's a lot that goes into trying to pull a fast one from your family. You have to try and act natural when you're trying to hide whatever it is.

Me, well I'm trying to hide my becoming blackeye. Sure, I should probably tell them that I got it and how, but it's just a bit embarrassing.

Nephew of Bruce Wayne and most importantly Batman...getting a black eye because he didn't know if he should put the bully in his place with a few punches in the courtyard.

It's even harder pulling a fast one because; hello, World's Greatest Detective. I mean this is like a bad Rom-Com, you just shouldn't yet you still watch it.

Of course it didn't work, I only got halfway up the stairs before Bruce, sitting in one of the family news with a book, called me back down.

So I did what I hoped would work and ducked my head further under my baseball hat trying to cover the eye.

To put it honestly, I utterly failed.

Instead of Bruce just not caring, like Gabe, he frowned and knelt to get a better angle and even held it in better lighting.

"Who did this to you?" Bruce asked frowning and had Alfred, who was standing by the door with a unemotional mask, grab some ice to put on the blackeye.

"No one." I muttered feeling awkward, this isn't something that normally happened, mom would get upset and hand me some ice but let me handle things if I want too (thought I did almost get suspended a few times that I did do something).

"No one?" Bruce asked with a raised eyebrow, "So you just punched yourself in the face? I don't know, it seems very unlikely that you're that flexible." Bruce joked as I glared at him for the teasing.

"No one of importance." I muttered and thanked Alfred as he gave me the bag of ice. I flinched as I set it on my eye, it was a bit cold but the washcloth around it helped with the coldness.

It also seemed like Bruce knew who I was talking about even if I hadn't said anything, did Dick see what happen? I hope not.

"Come on." Bruce said grabbing his jacket. I set my backpack aside, confused as to what we're doing.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we passed Alfred who seemed to have some idea what we were doing because he was there, right beside the car.

"I'm going to do something that Alfred allowed me to do once." Bruce said as he opened the back of the limo.

"Uh, okay." I said hesitantly and went into the back.

"You might want to hold your watch, sorry Beck for what might come, but it'll help." Bruce said adjusting my watch so it was over my knuckles.

He can't be serious. I watched surprised and feeling a bit excited, especially as we stopped in front of the bullies house.

"What? I'm confused." I said but my eyes were shining just a bit with understanding.

"I'll tell you when to stop." Bruce said as Alfred opened the door for me. I gave Bruce a look as I stepped out of the car and went toward the front door.

I gripped my watched and rang the bell, "What the hell are you doing here." The boy, the bully of Gotham community, opened the door all the while hissing out that sentence.

"Pay back." I muttered so only he could hear and then proceeded to punch him in the face.

"And he just let me, for like three minutes I beat up the guy." I explained to Luke over dinner at the diner.

"Really? I wish my dad let me do that." Luke said throwing a fry into his mouth.

I paused and debated on asking the question before shrugging, "Where is he?" I asked a bit cautious but mostly carefree.

Luke waved the question away, "Doesn't really matter, doesn't really care about me. Just a one-night-stand for him." he explained and part of me felt bad for asking, but I knew next to nothing about him.

I shrugged, "My dad lived his duties more than my mom at times." I said frowning at my sandwich.

"Tell me about it." Luke groaned in annoyance and I felt better, someone understood.

"Hey, I meant to ask. I have this basketball game on Friday and it would be cool if you could watch. You could meet my family or just stand by the sidelines and disappear afterward or something." I said awkwardly.

Luke just gave me a soft smile, "I'll think about it." he was definitely older than me but I couldn't tell by how much, living on the streets stopped his growth a bit and it was hard to tell.

"How old are you anyway?" I asked, "you just never told me and it's cool if you don't want-"

"Percy." Luke looked amused as he stopped me from rambling on, he picked at another fry, "I don't have any problems telling you my age, I'm 15."

And huh, it's that interesting, he's older than Dick and me, "Cool." I said with a small shrug and saw some of the tension in Luke leave.

"So, back to the story, it was really cool. I mean sure I beat up the guy, but Bruce was really cool even afterward. He got me some new ice as the other one melted while Alfred made cookies. Dick even commented on how he might've been the one to tell Bruce, 'cause he got home before I did, and that he was sorry and we played video games afterward."

Luke just smiled and listened as I recounted what happened and might have made motions that didn't go along with the storyline and sound effects but hey, who cares.

I'm sorry if this is a bit of a slow-paced story, I'm going to soon reach Young Justice but if you have anything you want to see let me know. Especially before Young Justice chapter which is like two chapter after this one.
