So, bit of fluff. Bit longer chapter too, sorry for not updating recently. Hectic month. Possibly a bit out of character where the fluff is but meh, I thought it's cute.
Insufferable. Utterly insufferable. They won't leave me alone for even a second. I mean how am I supposed to pull off my master scheme if they won't leave me alone!
When I'm not commenting with Artemis about arrow designs and some of the ideas she had (the which Green Arrow shot down of course), or talking helping Megan cook (which is something that I actually love okay) and help her with her cookies.
I was then pulled (more like I somehow navigated to) helping Superboy with this motorcycle he was either building from scratch, or repairing it so it worked. Or I would be pushed into the pool by Wally where I would just talk to Aqualad (after he was done telling Wally off) while still in the pool.
It was only when I got out of the pool dripping wet and shivering that I finally had some time alone.
Dick told me earlier that the team shouldn't learn about powers yet, so that meant I couldn't just instantly dry myself.
"Way to go Baywatch." Artemis growled at Wally who actually looked a little wounded and very shameful.
"Sorry Birdy." Wally said as he sped out then back in with one of the towers that this place probably had for the inhabitants.
"I-it's cool Wally. I forgive you, I don't mind water. Just don't like it happening unexpectedly." I said trying to ignore the feeling of almost having a panic attack from the sudden of being dry to being pushed into a large area of water.
Way too similar to the style that Gabe would do...closing my eyes I hugged the towel around my shoulders trying to get warm.
"Go take a shower in my room. Then get changed." Dick said with a frown as I shivered again and pushed memories away.
"I don't have any other clothes." I bit out feeling cold, "we weren't suppose to stay the night so I didn't think to bring more." I said feeling foolish of not thinking ahead. I should've seen this coming.
Dick frowned then looked thoughtful, "I might have something. Agent A gave it to me as a joke but I think it'll work." Dick said and then wrapped his arm around me and slowly showed me to his room.
"Take your time and warm up naturally." Dick said as we entered his room and started to shower. I nodded, teeth chattering slightly and I briefly wondered why the pool was so cold.
Dick must have seen my look or something because the next thing he said was, "Aqualad likes the water cold. So normally when he's in it, it's slightly colder than the normal ocean would be. Mostly because he's use to water being cold with his home being on the bottom of the ocean floor. Wally probably didn't see him and pushed you in."
"Wouldn't it still be cold?" I chattered wrenching my sticky shirt off and throwing it in the corner hamper as Dick dug one of his drawers.
"It's made to warm up when he's not using. Now take your shower, the clothes will be on the bed and I'll lock the door, just come out when you're ready." Dick said and I quickly nodded.
Feeling the foggy air, the warm air instantly made me happy as I stepped into the shower and practically moaned at the feeling of the heat warming my freezing body.
With a quick shower later, I stepped out of the bathroom and almost glowered at the thing on the bed.
Agent A and his joke. Right. I'm gonna kill them. On the bed looking innocent as hell, was a Batman footie pajama set. With a cape attached to the back and a small hoodie version of Batman's hood.
