My mind was foggy as I peeled my eyes open. The room I was in instantly spun and I held my head as I groaned.
I felt familiar hands touch my shoulder and instantly opened my eyes to see Bruce there looking concern.
"Where are we?" I asked my head still foggy but was clearing up with each seconds. We were obviously in a small room and it seemed like Bruce wanted to be Batman but without his gear and his playboy act, there was nothing he could do.
"Do you remember anything?" Bruce asked carefully helping me sit up. As I looked more at our surroundings, we were in a small rusted room that had a metal door connecting to a larger part.
"The door?" I asked shaking off any stiffness that was in my body from the reactions from what I assumed, were drugs.
"Locks, Dick and I tried it and we can't door much else because of...well." Bruce looked down at the suit he wore and we both knew he was talking about not being able to be his alter ego.
"You can't do anything, I can." I said thankful to be wearing my sea green jacket that I threw on that morning because of how cold Gotham was getting.
Reaching into an inside pocket I pulled out a lockpicking set, "You know how to lockpick?" Bruce asked raising an eyebrow.
"I also know how to pickpocket, get with New York uncle. There is crime there too you know." I said rolling my eyes and crouched in front of the door.
"Still, we didn't know for certain." Dick said hopping off a few boxes that were in the corner of the room. Too bad there wasn't a window, I was curious to know the time of day.
I didn't respond and instead stuck the tools inside the knob and with smoothless that shouldn't be in my age, the door clicked and I put the stuff away.
Ignoring the way Bruce had a raised eyebrow at how fast I had done that, I just turned to the knob and just before I could open it, it opened itself to reveal a man with a long nose and short height walk into the room with a cane.
"Oswald Cobblepot." I muttered to myself already knowing who the Penguin really was. Said man narrowed his eyes as he somewhat wobbled into the room.
"The Wayne Family." he started staring each of us as if we were beneath, "I must say, it was unexpected of one of you to pick the door but then again, New York is just a bit better than Gotham just a lot of petty crimes." Penguin said staring at me the entire time like I was the odd man out, which I kinda was.
Before anyone of us could respond, Penguin had one of his henchmen grab each of us and drag us out of the room. My mind was already coming up with escape plans for the abandoned warehouse we were in.
However, just as quick as it was coming up with an escape plan, it quickly shut off when I saw something to the far right of the place. A giant tank with gallons and gallons of water with ice cubes.
My heart froze, I hide a wince from Bruce from a specific memory of Gabe surfaced. I hated bathtubs for a reason.
I dug my heels in when we got closer because suddenly I couldn't breath, memories of icy cold water plunged into my mind.
Gabe was there holding me down as my mouth would instantly shut blocking any water from going in and from keeping me from breathing underwater.
It was an instinct, whenever my body felt icy water, it clamped shut and all my water powers would just shut down. I don't wanna talk about the times I had almost drowned because of Gabe shoving me into icy water that was in a bathtub.
"You remember then boy." Penguin asked holding my chin up with his cane looking gleeful which Bruce was worried and confused at my expression and how badly I was trying to get away from the icy water.
"What are you doing." Bruce hissed also now fighting the men but not as bad as Batman would be but enough, Dick was soon following his lead just enough that Richard Grayson-Wayne might knew self-defense but not enough to escape.
"He never told you. Not shocked really, you see a man in New York who is quite angry at Percy here told me something and for a hefty amount of money. Told me that Percy here has been abused by being shoved in cold water. I thought he was insane at first but here we are, and I must say that I am enjoying this." Penguin said sending a chill down my back.
"Please don't." I said my mind was on the verge of panic as the men dragged me closer to the water. Thoughts spilling my mind, the walls were closing in, I could feel the icy water from previous times and my gut turned.
It turned so hard that suddenly the water in the tank exploded everywhere and I froze, my eyes dilated and suddenly I couldn't move, or feel, or really think. All I knew was that I was soaking wet with cold water, but there was a circle of dryness around my feet and everything was just soggy.
I felt a hand on my shoulder but I couldn't move. I just stared at the tank as my stomach dropped.
Powers. Icy Water. Get away. Memories. Bathtubs.
Faintly I heard someone talking to me and without realizing it, turned to the voice. I couldn't hear what they were saying, all I saw that it was Bruce, Dick took one of the mens phones and was calling the police more likely. The men themselves were knocked out as they were dripping wet.
I couldn't hear what Bruce was saying, the place spun and I collapsed only to have Bruce catch me and start to cradle me.
"I don't like bathtubs." I heard myself distantly before I lost consciousness.
