Let Me Call You Mine (1)

“Peste ka. May pa it’s not you it’s me ka pang nalalaman, nambababae ka lang pala!”

Inis na hinawi ko yung bangs ko mula sa pagkakatakip nito sa mata ko. I was hiding from behind a bush habang pinapanood ko ang pakikipaglandian ng peste kong boyf-- este exboyfriend. Just last week, he broke up with me without any definite reason. Next week, we’re supposed to celebrate our second anniversary. But dahil nga sa pesteng kalandian na hindi nia napigilan . . . You know what happened. Heto at I could just contend myself with watching him flirt with another girl -_____-

“Why are you hiding?”

“AY PUTAKTE!”

Napatalon ako sa kinatatayuan ko ng marinig ko ang boses na yun. Pagtingin ko naman sa likod ko, I came face to face with a very handsome guy. Sa height kong 5 feet, 5 inches, nakatingala na ko sa kania, so he must be 6 feet or more. He has this hazel, almond-shaped eyes, pointy nose, and pinkish red lips. His hair was dirty blonde, and he has this foreigner-ish aura in him; perhaps because of his hair. Hindi naman sia mukhang dyed, kaya for sure! Half-breed ‘to!

(A/N: Half-breed? Palagay mo jan, aso?! -_____-)

“It’s rude to stare.”

“Oh!”

My eyes widened, at saka ko lang napansin na napatitig na pala ako ng matagal sa kania.

“I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay. Why are you hiding behind this bush?”

“Ah.. Ano.. I was just..”

“Stalking that guy over there?”

“Stalking? Me? No! Hindi! Why would I stalk that tomato-faced jerk?”

Narinig kong napatawa sia sa sinabi ko. Psh. Bitter na kung bitter! Pero naman di ba? Lintek na Glynn yun! Peste! Di ba nia alam yung three-month rule?! Popoy! Basha! Tulungan nio nga ako dito! Uggggh!

“Is he your ex-boyfriend?”

“Yes!” I said shrilly.

“I see.. You see the girl he’s with?”

“Yes!”

“She’s my ex-girlfriend.”

My eyes widened upon hearing him. Ang haba ng hair ni gurlaloo! Isang uber handsomeness na guy, naging ex nia! At mukhang madatung pa kung ang pagbabasehan ko ay ang kaniang itsura!

“Really? Kelan kayo nagbreak? Oh. You do understand Tagalog right?”

“Yea. Kelan kami nagbreak? Hmm. Two days ago?”

“WHAT?! And she’s already with someone else?!”

Napansin kong nagdilim yung mukha nia nung sabihin ko yun. I didn’t say sorry, tutal at totoo naman talaga ang sinabi ko.

“Do you still love her?”

“Yes.”

Napatingin ako ng matagal sa kania. Then suddenly, it was as if a light bulb appeared on my head.

 “I’ve an idea.”

He just raised an eyebrow then stared at me. Nakakailang man, I stared back at his searching eyes.

“What if... We pretend that we are together? Pagseselosin natin sila. And we’ll see kung may feelings pa din sila para satin.”

“And? What’s the catch?”
