I plunged the silver blade into its fury chest, twisting it clockwise and ripping out what's inside of it. Slowly it's eyes darkened and dropped, like light bulbs finally flickering out. Pulling the silver knife back out, I wiped it on the grass, staining the fresh green blades crimson.
A smile crept up on my face in satisfaction. I looked up to my partner in crime "Sophie, look out!"
She snapped her neck to the side as a rogue lunged at her, dodging quickly she kicks the wolf in the back, straddling it. From her back pocket she produces a silver knife and stabs the rouge, dragging the blade down it's spine. Howling and squirming was all it could manage before becoming limb and lifeless. I dragged the rugged body over to Sophie's kill, laying the two bodies over each other and burning them with my lighter.
Holding my knife I carved a curved line with a slash through it. It symbolises a crescent moon with a dagger through it. That's how packs know we've been here, Sophie and I are feared by many packs because of our mass killings, of rogues mainly but when wolves intend on causing harm or destruction, we take them out the picture. However they don't know who we are, just that the symbol is drawn by two hunters that are fearless of killing.
"That's the last one" I said, proud of our work.
"They're growing in numbers, after we leave this morning, the Alpha will be on high alert to protect his pack from us" Sophie said.
"I know, but they don't know who we are or if we're living inside their territory or just passing through. Anyways, when is the next wave of zombies?" I laughed at my remark.
Sophie lightly chuckled "The next attack will be next week sometime, that gives use enough time to prepare our weapons. But we also need to stock up on potions, we're on our last scent disguising". I nodded in agreement.
We grabbed our bags, and made a run back to the car, keeping a watch out for pack wolves on guard. Sophie hopped in the drivers seat, I dumped our weapons bag in the back and got inside our jaguar coupe convertible.

On the way back to the house, it started raining heavily and the roads were flooding. Going into our drive, we slowed the car almost to a halt. Wolves have been here.
"Can you smell it" I ask Sophie, my mind focussing on the ground for any evidence of whom it was.
She sniffed the air "Yeah but they weren't rogues, they are part of this territory" she replied, her face mirroring the same concentration plastered on mine.
"They're probably just doing a few rounds of the place, I mean, they smell fresh so they must've just been here after the killing?" I said.

"Come on, let's take the bags inside and see what damage they've done" Sophie said calmly. This was inevitable, they're just taking precautions because two mysterious hunters have made a killing in their territory. As we got out the car, I instantly felt a pair of eyes staring holes into the back of my head. Sophie's body language suggests she feels It too. We pretended to not notice and 'heaved' our bags out from the car. I let a large puff of air escape my mouth, trying to give the impression of being weak. Sophie also squinted her eyes and slowly dragged the bags from the car.
We staggered to the door and stumbled inside. We could smell their scent through the doorway.
"Look" Sophie called me over, shutting the door behind her.
"What is it?" I answered.
"Loot at our coats, they've taken swabs" she states whilst pointing to the clean patch on her coat's sleeve.
"Why would they take swabs from out jackets? It's not like... Oh shit" I say in realisation.
"Yes we were wearing those jackets, look there's still wolf hair on it"  Sophie said blunt but frustratedly.
"Right I'll get on my laptop and find a new place to stay a few states down. We'll be gone by the time they ask questions" I walked to the kitchen and grabbed my laptop, typing into the search engine.
Sophie on the other hand shut all the blinds and curtains and started packing all our belongings. Luckily these walls are sound proof so the wolves couldn't hear us.
It had just gone past midnight and we were finally all packed and ready to leave. Thankfully there weren't any pack wolves watching us loading the car, an easy escape.
