I woke up, light pouring though the window. I yawned and rolled out of bed. Making my way over to the closet, I grabbed black jeans, a grey T-shirt which comes down to the my waist, a black zip up hoodie and a pair of vans. I tied my wavy hair in a pony tail, some strands falling at the front, and walked downstairs. Sophie was sitting with her laptop, a frustrated, confused expressed on we face.
"Hey, what's up? Everything alright?" I questioned.
"Good news or bad news, which one first?" Sophie said quite bluntly.
"Oh er, good news first?"
"Ok, so I've ordered our new potions, Agatha gave us some new ones she's been working on."
"Ok, I guess that's good, so what's the 'bad' news?" I used my fingers making quotation marks in the air.
"Ok, so there's a large gathering of rogues, making their way through the human land we drove through on our way here. They've already covered half the ground and will make the boarder by roughly 2 o'clock this afternoon"
The same expression Sophie displayed only moments before had found its way to my face.
"Right, there's a forrest 1 mile in from the boarder line, we'll hide in there and attack before they reach the village. Does the alpha in this pack know about this?" I asked.
"I assume not, but when they cross the boarder he soon will, putting us at a risk of being caught. If we wear our masks then they won't recognise us, we'll have to be on extra alert, knowing that alpha will kill us straight away if we're caught." Sophie said.
I grinned. "That won't be a problem, like you said our potions will come soon, we can use twice as much, that will make us virtually invisible to the wolves, including the Blood Moon Pack's highest ranked leaders, their Alpha, Beta an third in command." I said, pleased at our advantage.
"Come on, we better do some training before we get to work" Sophie suggested happily at the thought. We drove to the village gym, no one was training there when we arrived, allowing us to train without distractions. We used the tread mills, boxing bags and weights during our training session. I'm not one for bragging, but we were both glad no one else was training. The reason is that people are surprised when seeing girls our age with sculptured six packs and a toned body.
The absence of people meant we could train without anyone getting suspicious is us, new people on their land and a possible threat to their pack. I had my music plugged in, listening to Run Boy Run. Adrenaline was pumping through my veins as I hit the punch bag with my bare fists.
I looked to my left, Sophie running on the tread mill, obviously listening to a tuneful song because I would see her lips mouthing the words.
When i train, I imagine the punch bag as a criminal or a rogue and punch the shit out if it.
I stopped and grabbed my water bottle, hearing the door to the gym shut. Sophie slowed her pace down subtly and I looked in the corner of my eye, seeing a tall man walking in. However just as I went back to punching the bag I sniffed harder, he's a wolf and quite a high ranking one too. Sophie noticed this too and took a break from the tread mill.We packed up soon after, the time being 12:45 pm. As we were leaving, the man looked at both Sophie and I "Hi, You must be new here, my name's James." The tall, well built man handed his hand out for us to shake. He seemed to be roughly 5 ft 11, just taller than me - I was 5 ft 9 and Sophie 5 ft 7.
I smiled, shaking his hand, Sophie too. "Hi, yes we're new to the area, nice to meet you" I replied, about to walk out.
"Hey you two seem like you train a lot? What're your names?" Me and Sophie both looked at each other for a quick second, before I spoke.
"Skye" I introduced myself.
"Willow" Sophie said.
"Nice to meet you two, where are you staying?" He asked.
I internally rolled my eyes. He is really nosey, but I guess he has to be because we're new here.
"Oh we're just staying in a hotel down the road" I said with a smile. I remembered passing one on the way over here.
"When did you two arrive in town?" Ugh, I took in a deep breath, this is a gym not an interrogation room.
"We got here yesterday, thought we'd hit the gym before we looked around town" Sophie replied before I could answer. Like I said, we know how each other are going to react so we use it to an advantage.
I coughed, signalling Sophie to tell him we need to leave, too bored to do it myself.
Sophie got my gist "We better be off" She said as we both walked out the gym and to the black jag.
