"Skye? Willow?..." He said, his voice deep. The black wolf, the Alpha, snarled and growled at us, knowing James knew us. James looked back the massive wolf, staring at it.
"He's mind linking, Ella we could run now" Sophie whispered, just being able to hear her voice down my ear piece. I looked back to James, his eyes staring at my ear piece. He couldn't have heard that could he?
"When I say go..." I replied.
The Alpha snapped its head back to me, I didn't look it in the eye. I kept my head down, waiting for the right moment to yell. Sophie too put her dead down, facing the dirt underneath our feet. It went silent, both wolves listening to James."GO!" I shouted. Grabbing my mask, Sophie and I sprinted past them easily and ran our way through the forest. Our training allowed us to keep ahead of the wolves, but we heard them howl and run behind us. We kept running, pumping our arms and keeping some distance between the wolves. The trees were lessening, as we came to a halt when arriving at a cliff edge. I looked over, it was more than a 700 ft drop.
Suddenly three men, including James came running towards us. I had put our mask back on, trying to recover my identity from the other two werewolves. I looked over the cliff edge, thinking of a way of jumping and landing safely below. Sophie also looked over then turned to me, giving me a pointed look to say we should jump. James and a well built man stalked over to us. We walked backwards, the sound of rocks echoing as they crumbled and fell down the cliff face. They quickened their pace and grabbed us, pulling us away form the edge and wrapped their hands around our mouths over our masks, before we could jump.We struggled under their grips and wriggled like fish out of water. A very tall, muscular man who looked the height of 6ft, I assume is the Alpha, stood I front of us about to kill us. "We know you're wolf hunters, the two of you are feared by many packs within America." He started with a smirk, his voice deep and loud. As if we didn't know that, I thought sarcastically.
"You're death will be a praise for America and my pack. James, Zeke take their masks off!" He ordered loudly.
"Let me see their faces as I kill them slowly" he said menacingly. I felt James' fingers reach to my neck, grabbing the materiel of my mask and pulling it it off my face.
He instantly threw my mask to the ground, placing his hand back over my mouth. Does he think I'm just going to let him touch me? Quickly I opened my mouth and bit his hand, hard. His hand pulled away, shaking in the air. I heard growl behind me, quickly feeling a hot, stinging pain on my cheek. He'd slapped me. I bashed my head backwards, hitting James' torso. Ouch, it felt like hitting a wall of stone. So I elbowed him, hitting his his leg, hoping I could inflict more pain that way! I was about to hit him again when the muscular man in front shouted.
"ENOUGH!" He raged. I looked up to him, he was staring at James. However when his eyes trailed down to mine, he froze. His icy blue eyes pierced into mine. He growled, his eyes turning black, darker than the sky at night."Mate!"
