Haylee's Point of View
"But Lou, I don't want to go", I whined into my home phone that was resting between my shoulder and my ear.
It was the day right after Louis had given me William. Louis had just called me and wanted me to go to this party tonight, but I didn't want to go. I wanted to stay home and watch William blow little bubbles and look at his reflection in the picture frame, but Louis had other plans.
"Well too bad. You're coming to this party whether you like it or not. I'll be over in one hour to pick you up", he noted before hanging up. One hour. One hour to get ready! Does he not realize that I'm a girl and that I take a lot of time to get ready?
As I set the home phone on my bed, I heard my phone start dinging, notifying me that I got a text message -again. It had been going off all morning with text messages from the boys. We were talking about each others likes and differences, movies that were coming out, theme parks, food (the list goes on and on).... I liked texting them. They were all very unique people with completely different personalities. I felt bad because I was taking forever to reply because I kept on stressing about this damn party.
I tossed my phone on my bed after replying to them before going over to hook up my iPod to my speakers. I couldn't get ready without music. Music puts you in the right mood and it helps you feel more energized. It's like an energy drink but without the drink part.
I grinned when Timber by Pitbull came on. It was my current jam. My jam switched whenever I would get addicted to a new song. But until then, I would play this song over and over again until I hated it.
"It's going down, I'm yelling Timber" I sang as I walked into my closet. I already took a shower this morning, so it was pointless to take another one. Picking out an outfit was always the time consuming part of getting ready. Should I wear a dress or no dress? Jeans or shorts? Long sleeve or short sleeve? Sandals are sneakers? The struggle is very real. After staring at my closet for at least 15 minutes, I decided that I should call Louis.
"Louis what do I wear?" I immediately asked as soon as he picked up. Louis started humming on the other end of the phone, trying to think about my outfit choice.
"Well, it is a party, so I'd say a dress. But don't you dare wear a short dress. I don't feel like pulling guys off of you tonight", he told me seriously.
I chuckled. "Thanks Dad, I'll see you later".
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
I skipped back to my closet and looked at my selection of dresses.
"Too short, too short, no, no, no, hoochy outfit", I mumbled as I flicked through them. I stopped when I got to one that I have no memory of getting. It was the perfect length and I had the perfect shoes to match with them. The dress went a little above my knees. The skirt part was a dark blue color that looked almost black. The top was a light cream color with black polka dots all over it. It also had a light brown belt around the waist. It was absolutely adorable.
I quickly stripped of my sweatpants and tank top and threw on the dress. I walked over to my mirror, inspecting myself. I pulled at the dress, getting rid of the few wrinkles that it possessed. To be honest, I looked freaking hot.
After I stared at myself for a few minutes, I walked back to my closet and put on some black sandals that had a black bow on them. I skipped back to my make-up table and sat down. I turned on my curling iron and hummed to the song that was playing as I started doing my make-up. I applied some foundation, eyeliner, and mascara. I was never good at eye shadow, so I never used it. I put my hand over the curling iron to see if it was hot, and it was just right. I picked it up and carefully started to curl my hair. The last thing I needed was to burn myself just before a party.
