Haylee's Point of View
Louis stood in the doorway, wearing his black skinny jeans that he had worn earlier today and a wrinkled white t-shirt. His hair was messy, the strands going in numerous directions. Dark circles hung under his eyes, making the usually bright blue hue of his eyes darker. His chest was heaving up and down like he had ran here, and a thin sheen of sweat covered his forehead. His eyes connected with my own, his visibly softening while he looked at me.
"Haylee" he mouthed, his eyes widening for a split second in what only could be shock before he looked away from me, his eyes narrowing into slits when he saw Jake hovering above me, whose lips were still tickling against my neck. I focused on the way Louis' eyes hardened and the way the skin stretched when he clenched his jaw. His hands balled into fists at his sides, his knuckles turning white before he lunged at Jake.
"Get the hell off of her!" Louis yelled, grabbing Jake by the back of his shirt before hauling him off of me.
Jake hit the floor with a loud thud, a grunt leaving him before he snapped back up, his eyes narrowing at Louis, who hovered above me. Jake's hands matched Louis', his teeth were gritted, and his chest heaved up and down. Louis hovered over me, his stance tall and protective. The muscles in his back strained against his t-shirt, the muscles there rippling with every breath he took.
Jake grinned wickedly while he walked around the room slowly, watching Louis' every move. Louis matched every step Jake took, always putting himself precisely in-between Jake and me. Louis kept quiet, his attention completely focused on each and every move that Jake made. The only sounds in the room were our breathing, especially mine, which came out in quick pants as the tension wrapped around the room, suffocating me in it's grip.
I reached up from the floor, my hand grasping Louis' arm. Still keeping his eyes on Jake, Louis pulled his arm up, helping me off of the floor. No matter what emotions were running through me, right now all I wanted was Louis' arms around me, telling me that everything was going to be okay. I wanted his warmth; I wanted him. I took a tentative step forward, my fingers grasping his shirt in my hands. Louis reached one of his arms behind him, his hand wrapping around my side to pull me closer towards him.
"You've got some real fucking nerve" Jake laughed menacingly, stopping to face us, his arms folding across his chest.
"I've got some fucking nerve. You're the one who's trying to rape my fucking girlfriend" Louis growled, his voice lowering with each word he spoke. His voice leaked with a threat, his protective side growing with each passing second. My fingers tightened around his shirt when he took a step forward, trying to hold him back. This is exactly what Jake wants; a fight. If Jake has the others on his side, there's no way Louis could stand a chance.
"Louis, don't let him get to you. This is exactly what he wants" I whisper into Louis' ear, my chest pressing against his back for reassurance.
"It's not my fault that your girlfriend spread her legs for me" Jake continued.
I pulled hard on Louis' shirt when he took another step forward, his nostrils flaring whilst he tried to calm down, but Jake's taunting words were doing the exact opposite.
"Don't." I said, one of my arms releasing the hold on his shirt to wrap around his waist, pulling him back to me. I could feel the muscles clenching underneath his shirt, and his skin was radiating with heat.
"The things I would do to her... I would take it slow. I'd watch while she cried for you, begging for you to save her, and then I'd take every ounce of strength from her. I'd completely and utterly ruin her."
Louis snapped. He lunged forward, tackling Jake to the ground while I stood back in shock at Louis' actions and Jake's words. Louis pinned Jake to the floor, his knees on either side of his waist. His fist came back, flying forward to connect solidly with Jake's jaw. A sickening pop echoed around the room as Jake's head snapped back. Louis rose his hand again, about to hit him again, when Jake hit Louis on the side. Louis grunted and hunched backwards, giving Jake the opportunity to throw Louis off of him. Jake stood up, his foot going behind him, about to kick Louis in the head. Louis rolled out of the way, deflecting the hit.
