New Perspective (Brendon's POV)

*A/N* Brendon is now 22 and Dallon is now 24. Just thought y'all should know lol~

"Are you almost ready baby?" Sarah asked..

"Yeah, I'll be out in a sec," I said from the other side of the bathroom door.

Sarah was my girlfriend. She came to my school about a week after Dallon and I called it quits. We took a liking to each other and have been dating for about five years. We've been the best of friends for about six years though. Her and I were going to meet our friend, Spencer, for dinner, and I, of course, was holding us up.

"Ok, I'm done. I promise!" I said as I walked out of the bathroom.

"I swear you take longer than me in the bathroom," Sarah said as she smiled.

"Heyyy," I whined.

"You know I love you," she said as she hugged me.

"I know and I love you too," I said as I kissed her. "You look beautiful by the way."

"You don't look so bad yourself," she said.

I kissed her again and after that, we finally left. We arrived at the restaurant about ten minutes later. We walked inside and Spencer waved us over.

"Hey Spence!" I said as he got up and hugged me.

"Hey you guys," he said.

"Hey Spencer," Sarah said as he hugged her.

"What took you two so long?" Spencer asked as we sat down.

"Look at your little buddy over here," Sarah said as she pointed at me.

"Hey now," I said as I laughed.

"I knew it. He was in the bathroom fixing his hair wasn't he?" Spencer asked as he laughed.

"Hey," I said. "Guess what."

"What?" Spencer asked.

"Shut up," I said, which made Sarah laugh.

Spencer just smiled and rolled his eyes as he took a sip of his drink.

"So, what have you been up to?" I asked. "What's going on in Spencer Land?"

"Um, I helped an old friend get a band together," he said. "That was pretty cool. Oh, and I've been working on some songs and stuff with Jon."

"Dude, that's awesome!" I said.

"I think we'll have to hear these new songs," Sarah said.

"I agree!" I said.

"You know, we need a singer," Spencer said. "And I know you have an amazing voice Bden, so Jon and I have been talking and we think you should sing for the band."

"S-Seriously?" I asked.

"Yeah. I have the drums covered, Jon's got the bass, and we know an old friend that could cover the guitar," Spencer explained.

"Babe, I think you should totally do this!" Sarah said. "This is awesome."

"You know what, I will," I said.

"You will?" Spencer asked.

"Yeah man," I said.

"That's awesome!" Spencer said. "Thanks man."

"Not a problem," I said.

We talked for a little while longer and Spencer gave me a look. I knew what the look was for, so I decided to do what I told Spencer I was going to do tonight.

"Alright Mr. Pushy," I said as I stood up.

"What?" Spencer asked as he got a smirk on his face.

"You guys are so weird," Sarah said as she took a sip of her drink, not realizing that I was getting down on one knee.

"Sarah," I said. "I have something to ask you."

"Y-yes?" she asked, finally looking at me.

"Will you marry me?" I asked.

"Oh my god, Brendon," she said as she covered her mouth. "Oh my- Yes."

I slid the ring onto her finger and she jumped into my arms. I loved her so much and now we were engaged.
