Ryan and I were hanging out at Spencer's place.. Again. God, we seem to do that a lot. I practically live here half the time. While we were all watching tv, Spencer got out his phone and called someone. I didn't know who, and frankly, it wasn't my business, but when he said a familiar name, I got nervous and looked at Spencer. He talked for a little bit until he told someone about the night Ryan and I got together.
"Asshole!" I shouted.
Spencer looked at me and smiled. I couldn't help but not be mad at him whenever he smiled like that. Little bitch.
"He's actually here right now," Spencer said. "Do you want to talk to him?"
I looked at Spencer again and swallowed the lump that formed in my throat. Spencer took the phone away from his ear and looked at me.
"Hey, want to talk to an old buddy?" he asked.
"Is it Dallon?" I asked, which got Ryan's attention.
"Yeah," Spencer said.
"Sure," I said, sporting a fake smile.
God, I was so nervous. I hadn't talked to Dallon since that fateful day. I've wanted to, but I never did because I thought he didn't want to talk to me.
Spencer gave me the phone, but looked at me.
"You're going to have to stop shaking," Spencer said.
"I'm sorry, I'm just really nervous. I haven't talked to him since that one day a few years ago," I said.
"Well, he wants to talk to you, so go on," Spencer said as he pushed me towards to bedroom.
I walked down the hallway and into the guest bedroom, which was really like my bedroom now. I sat down on the bed and composed before I put the phone up to my ear.
"D-Dallon?" I asked.
"Brendon!" Dallon said, sounding extremely nervous, but happy.
"How's i-it going?" I asked.
"Good, great actually," he said. "Yeah, I got married and we have a baby girl on the way."
"Aw," I said. "I'm happy for you. What are you naming her?"
"Amelie," he replied.
"That's cute," I said.
"Yeah, so what's going on in your life? You're in Panic!. That must be pretty cool," he said.
"Yeah it is," I said as I chuckled. "It's been really fun actually. I also got married."
"Really?" he asked.
"Yeah. Her name is Sarah," I said. "I posted a few pictures on twitter, so if you want to stalk me, go ahead."
"Maybe I will," Dallon said as he laughed.
"Dal, I miss you," I said, interrupting his laughter.
"I miss you too, Bren," he said, which caught me totally off guard.
"Y-You do?" I asked.
"Yeah, I mean I miss all the fun times we had and everything," he said.
"I do too," I said.
"We're going to have to get together," he said.
"I agree," I said as I smiled. "Where do you live now exactly?"
"Utah," Dallon said. "Where are you at?"
"Nevada," I said.
"You know, I've taken time off due to Breezy and the baby, so I could fly down there probably within the next week or so if you'd like," he said.
"I'd like that," I said as I smiled again.
"I would too," Dallon said. "I'll start looking at flights and whatever."
"Sounds good," I said.
"You said Ryan was there too, right?" he asked.
"Y-Yeah," I said. "Want to talk to him?"
"Sure," he said.
