Harry's POV

I leaned in, getting ready to kiss her when she got a phone call.

I was about to tell her to ignore it when she answered. I heard mumbling on the other side of the phone and then saw Emma's face.

Something was wrong.

She brought the phone down from her ear and looked at me.

"I-i-it's Darcy.."

She said sobbing while handing the phone to me. I took it angrily.

"What happened to her!"

"I'm sorry Harry I should've paid more attention."

I recognized Zayn's voice instantly.

"Zayn.. what happened."

"Darcy....she got hit..by a car."

"She WHAT?! Zayn you babysit for under an hour and she gets hurt already?!"

"I know I know but I was playing tag with her and the boys and she ran into the street. I guess the car didn't see her. I'm so so sorry. We're at the hospital waiting for results."

"I'm on my way."

I hung up and put my head in my hands. I barley knew my own daughter and her life may get taken away already. I sighed and looked up at Emma. She was a wreck. She was sobbing and her makeup was all over her face. I pulled her in for a hug but she didn't seem to want to accept it.

I got up and climbed down the tree after her heading towards the car.

15 minutes later we were walking into the hospital. We found the boys in the waiting area.

I glared at them and took a seat while putting my arm around Emma.

A couple minutes later a nurse came out.

"Darcy is fine, she just broke a couple of bones and has some bruises. We noticed her gums bleeding so we think her tooth also got knocked out but we aren't sure. Other than that she's fine."

I blew out a sigh of relief.

Louis came up to me and handed me something. I looked down to see a tiny tooth.

"I found it when I ran over to pick her up. Thought you guys may want it, being her first tooth and all."

Emma managed a smile and squeaked a little "Thank you"

"Only family is allowed to see her right now," the nurse said.

She led us down a hall and opened a door to one of the rooms.

Inside was a sleeping Darcy.

Emma's POV

The moment I saw my little girl with a bright pink cast on her arm I broke down in tears.

The nurse explained that she broke two bones in her arm and it would take around a month until she can get her cast off.

She left leaving me, Harry, and Darcy.

I cried into Harry's chest until I heard a little voice.

"Mummy? Why are you crying?"

I looked up to see Darcy. She was wide awake but you could tell she was in pain.

"Darcy are you okay?"

"My arm hurts and so does my mouth and my head."

I looked up noticing some bruises on her forehead. Poor thing.

Harry kneeled down beside her bed and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Daddy!!"

"Hey Darcy, how are you holding up?"

"Not too good Daddy."

Darcy frowned as a tear slipped down her pained face, which made my heart shatter into a million pieces.

How could a great day turn into something so bad?
