"Harry! Could you and Darcy please stop fooling around and help me here?!"

It was New Years Eve and I was stressing out because we were having a party at our house. It wouldn't be big or anything, just the boys and Harry's family. However, I wanted it to look decent. And my definition of decent right now is no toys on the floor and that's the exact opposite of what the living room is like right now.

"Actually Em, I have to go somewhere with Louis, but Darcy's here to help."

Before I could object, he was out the door. That's odd. Usually he tells me he can do the cleaning and the cooking and I should just relax. Whatever. I turned to Darcy.

"I know a secret." Darcy knows a secret?

"What's the secret."

"I don't know. I had to zip my lips and throw away the key. No one knows where the key is now."

I rolled my eyes and pretended to find it.

"I found it!"

"Hmmm. Nope wrong one."

"Can I bribe you with a cookie."

"No way mummy, daddy already did that."

I groaned and gave up.

"Okay well since you lost the key, maybe you'll find it while you clean up your toys.

"Awe mum. I don't wanna clean."

"No whining. We've got to get ready for a party."

Harry's POV

"Do you know how you're gonna do it? Or even when?"

I sighed. "No no I have no idea, but I'm sure I'll think of something," I say to Louis as we walk into the jewelry store.

"Hi, my name is Rachel. Is there anything in particular you're looking for?"

I looked over at Lou and he nodded.

"Engagement rings."

Emma's POV

Finally. Everything was done. I sat on the couch and got on my phone, and as soon as I was comfortable, there was a knock on the door. I groaned and padded over to open it. Didn't Harry already have keys to the house?

"Harry I-" I froze as soon as I saw that it wasn't Harry.

In front of me stood a girl with dirty blonde and blue hair. It was surprisingly dip dyed. How'd she get away with that? My eyes looked up at her face and I realized she didn't. Her face was tear stained, I couldn't help but feel terrible for her. She had suitcases, which told me she had no where to go.

"Caroline?"

She dropped her things and hugged me. It's been so long since I've seen her. My sister.

After everything had calmed down, we were on the couch talking.

"Carrie what happened?"

"Well," she sniffled, "It started when you came to give us the Christmas cards. I was upstairs when I heard a lot of yelling. I looked outside and saw you going to your car with... with your daughter. I went downstairs and over heard mum saying terrible things about you. I heard the words slut and whore in one sentence. I finally had enough of it and told her to shut up. She can't control you. I told her I looked up to you. She asked why and I explained how courageous you are. When mum told you to abort the baby, you simply said no. I then rushed out of the house and did this to my hair. I like it too. It felt so good to do something I wanted to do. When I came back mum told me how you screwed your life up and that she was hoping for me to be the perfect daughter, but that's just not me. She warned me I was screwing up my life like you. I didn't care. I packed my things and left. The last thing she said was that I have no where to go. She was right. The friends she wanted me to have wouldn't have wanted to take me in. That's when I thought of you. I've been living in my car for about a week now, praying that when I found you, you would let me stay. W-Will you?"
