"And that's why you don't need alcohol " a woman explains
"Do you understand Dayna?" She looks at her
"Yea whatever.." She scoffs
"Come on Dayna don't be grumpy your doing wonderful even though you've only been here two weeks"
"Two weeks sober" she adds
"Why do you hate being sober so much?" Jack asks
"Becuase Jack being drunk numbs pain I don't want to be sober that's when it starts to hurt again!!" She pushes him away and stands up
"I HAVNT drank I HAVNT smoked for two Fucking weeks give me a break and get off my back!!" She storms out and is walking down an all white hall she looks down and is wearing a white gown it then hits me that she's in therapy
"Dayna wait up!"
"What Jack?" She snaps
"Come on I'm just being hard on you becuase I love you I want you to get better"
"I'm not fucking sick!" She forces her arm out of his grip
"Dayna please don't be so grumpy don't push us away your doing great you heard what Laura said"
"Two weeks Jack! Two fuckin weeks !! Give me a break at least let me go outside"
"Dayna..."
"Jack ...I feel like I'm in prison just one walk that's it I promise then I'll come back and do whatever the hell you want me to "
"....fine I'll go tell Laura wait here"
"Wait your not coming with me"
"Dayna.."
"Jack please ..trust me..."
"Fine" she hugs him then walks off she goes outside and breaths in the air she walks and stops at a lake she try's to skip a stone but it sinks
"Aw crap...come on you can do this" she try's again and it skips
"Aha! I did it! And there's no one around to hug!" She sits down and sighs when a ship flys overhead she follows it and stops beside a tree to look at it the boarding ramp it's the path and out walks the team
"Look it's me!" Scotty yells
"We really need a mechanic capin" he explains
"I know Scotty I know but there arnt any they're all rubbish"
"Christ sake ya think there's one that's half decent"
"A mechanic?" She whispers she looks at the name of the ship
"Starship enterprise .."
"Hmm always did have a nag for fixing things I'd be a great mechanic always did want to be one .." She runs back to therapy and goes to Jack
"Enjoy your walk?"
"Jack I want to become a mechanic " she says proudly
"What? A mechanic why?"
"I always wanted to be but then your girlfriend bullied me saying it was a boys job so I never spoke of It again"
"Hmm I'm sure I could arrange you to go to college "
"Thanks jack!" She squeals then hugs him she runs to Laura and sits down
"Now Dayna why do you drink?"
"I used to drink to drown my sorrows but I realise that that's not a solution it just causes more problems"
"Very good Dayna that's excellent progress"
"Thank you" she continues in to different courses and activities when finally it's night and she a heading to her room when a man approaches her
"Eh hi ..I'm Rick"
"Oh hello my names Dayna " she shakes his hand he scrathes his arm
"Would you like to eh ...go out sometime "
"Em....im sorry no ...I want to become a mechanic and I want to fully focus on that"
"Oh that's ok well I wish you luck with that "
"Thanks" she continues to her room and walks in nothing but a bed and a lamp in it she sighs then gets into bed the memory changes to her in college it's her final year in mechanics
"Dayna Maguire" she gets up and takes her diploma everyone cheers
"Your head of the class Ms.Maguire congratulations you'll go far"
"Thanks sir"
"There's someone who wants to see you he's in that tent "
"Did he leave a name?"
"No sorry just said you know him very well"
"Ok" she walks off the podium and into the tent and gasps
"Hello Ms.Maguire"
"Mr.grey ...what ..what are you doing here..."
"I came to see how my little slut is doing"
"I'm not yours " she hisses
"Oh but you are and you always will be or do I have to teach you that again?"
"I'm not afraid of you anymore"
"No I suppose all that alcohol made you forget and all the weed and crack"
"Shut up you drive me to that"
"Oh now come on it wasn't just me.."
"No but you were a big part in it"
"Why don't we make up for lost time?" He circles her
"Not going to fucking happen you creep get away from me I'm leaving all this behind I don't want to remember you face until the day comes where I put a fucking bullet through it"
"Now now Dayna calm down all that scotch and whiskey is going to your head"
"Fuck off you prick"
"NOW NOW no need for that" he grabs her wrists
"That therapy didn't work very well"
"Oh it worked better than well" she kicks him and grabs his arms around his back up to his neck
"Now leave me the fuck alone!" She spits on the back of his head and get up and walks out the memory suddenly stops and changes to her packing her bags
"I can't believe you got he job" Jack stand in the corridor
"I know! I'm so excited I finally get to do what I love!" She hugs him then continues on
"Do you me to walk you to it?"
"No I'm fine well I guess I'll see you around.."
"Yep" they hug again and she walks away and walks to the boarding dock of the ship there them memory stops and she opens her eyes and looks around I turned off the machine and she walks out rubbing her head close to tears
Daynas POV
That was horrible I hated reliving my life ...
"Lass you alright?"
"No ..."
"That was horrible to witness Ms.Dayna"
"Then why dun you switch it off!"
"I had to see why you were remembering these"
"I don't know but it was horrible .."
"You had a hard life lass"
"Yea tell me about it.." I rubbed my head and walked past him
"Where are ya goin?"
"To get a drink" I called back and walked back to my chambers ...
