There he was, left by both his hyungs to catch his breath on the floor of their practice room. After his hyung Johnny left, he decided to lie down again to fully catch his breath- also because he felt a little light headed because of lack of food.
Since their debut was coming near he was also getting more nervous, so that meant that he didn't eat as much as he should be eating- which also meant that he needed a longer period of time to fully recover from the intense training sessions. Of course Kun knows that he should be eating more, that eating almost nothing isn't good for him. But still he did it.
Suddenly the door is being thrown open- causing Kun to let out a high pitched scream. He wasn't expecting anyone to enter the room- everyone knows that he and his hyungs were practicing for their debut.
When he looks up he notices her standing there- she looks just as shocked to still see him laying around in the practice room.
"Ah oppa, sorry I didn't know anyone was still in here" she says shyly, brushing one of her brown locks behind her ear- "I'll just wait until you're done in here" she says before wanting to close the door behind her, but it's Kun who makes her stop.
"No it's okay. I could use some company, both my hyungs left".
She nods before closing the door again, leaning against it awkwardly.
They do know each other but they never had an actual conversation of just the two of them, there was always someone around who kept the conversation going while they just stood there awkwardly.
Kun didn't know what the reason might be for her to be so awkward around him, but his was pretty clear.
He in fact has a crush on her.
The memory of their first meeting is one that he won't forget, it would seem to others as some cheesy scene from a movie but to him it was reality. The first time he stepped foot into the SM Entertainment building he was lost, he didn't know where to go or who he had to approach to get where he needed to be. However there she was, helping him out with her limited Chinese.
It was sad to say that- that was their first and only conversation.
Kun scraped his throat, catching the attention of the only other person in the room. She looked up from the ground to look him in the eyes, anticipating on what was on his mind. "So this is probably the first time we've been alone" he asks her, trying to figure out if she still remembers the first day they met.
She looks up with a shy demeanor.
"I think you meant the second time, the first time I was trying to speak in your native languages" she replies as she looks back at the floor.
Neither of them saying a word to the other, both being too shy to even speak a word.
He knew that she sees him as a sunbae, someone who has more experience then her. But nothing of that true, well it is true that he has more experience in training. However he hasn't debuted yet, and that part was gnawing at him like a bunny eating a carrot.
Kun had seen his hyungs debut, and even the younger ones debuted before he did. It was upsetting to him that he didn't get the opportunity yet. That is the reason why he is working so hard, he wants to debut and prove the people wrong who didn't believe in him.
"Are you sure you don't want me to leave" she asked a little uncertain, the awkward silence was killing her. But she was afraid he would get upset with her and that's not what she wanted.
Kun nodded, "no it's fine, really. I want you to stay" he said firmly.
She looked at him feeling startled, he had never been so straightforward.
When Kun realised what he had said, he put his hand in front of his "no I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that. It's not like I have a crush on you- which I have" he blurted out, "please ignore me".
It made her chuckle to see what a mess Kun suddenly became. His cheeks were coloured in a rosy colour and he was afraid to look up at her. He looked just like the lost puppy she met on his first day.
"It's okay Kun" she reassured him with a gentle smile, putting her hand on his shoulder, "I like you too".
His eyebrows were raised, looking at her in disbelief. The pink tint still very visible on his cheeks and his hand was still in front of his mouth. At the moment he looked like an mix of disbelief and embarrassment.
He didn't know what feeling was overruling the others.
"No way".
But she nodded her hand, "yes way, I really like you dork".
Having to confess twice made her feel self conscious, the colour of her cheeks soon matched Kun's. The two looked at each other, neither of them knew what to say- but in the moment silence seemed to be just right.
"It's weird since we've barely seen each other" Kun said breaking the silence.
She chuckled, "that's true, but sometimes all you need is an impression of someone- and you left a good one".
Another moment of silence was between them and Kun took the opportunity to gently cup her cheeks.
"Just push me away if you don't want this" he mumbled softly.
He moved his head closer to hers, incing the distance between them until his lips were placed on top of hers. It was a sweet kiss, a soft one.
At first she didn't know what to do but then she had put her hands on his shoulders. All the while Kun was happy that she accepted his kiss, his feelings for her.
It was going to be tough but he knew that if it was meant to be they will figure it out.
