in which Bella falls for her best friend's brother
PREVIOUSLY ON VOODOO DOLL:
"Hey, I have something to tell you." Bella whispered in Mckenzie's ear.
"What's up?" She asked.
"I think I like your brother.""So, you, uh, you get sent here often?" Cole flirted with a girl in the principal's office.
"How could I let you two convince me to rewire the PA system?" Ethan asked.
"Because I'm incredibly charming." Cole answered, still staring at the girl who was not even acknowledging that he was speaking to her.
"Seriously, dude?" Benny asked. "The Hulk would turn pink before she'd talk to you."
"Pink with envy." Cole said.
"I'm never rewiring anything for you two again." Ethan said.
"Okay, what good is a ghost alarm in a school if it isn't incredibly loud?" Benny asked. "How was I supposed to know it would blow out the principal's window."
"Young Lady!" The Principal called the girl. She sat with a stone cold face, not getting up or even responding to him.
"You should go in there." Cole said to the girl, scooting into the seat next to her. "You do not wanna tick him off."
"Yeah, especially when we have to go in after you." Benny said chuckling. She still had no response. Cole tried to take the earbud out of her ear, but it was pulled back by what Cole assumed was earwax.
"Don't do that." The girl said flatly.
"That is some nasty earwax!" Cole exclaimed.
"Young lady!" The Principal called again. "We are running out of daylight!"
Ethan pulled her up and dragged her into the office. "You better get in there."
"Man," Cole said after Ethan sat back down. "That girl was a total 'butter ears'."
"What?" Benny asked.
"I liked everything, 'but her ears'." Cole said laughing.
"How are you still dateless?" Ethan asked laughing.
"I don't...know." Cole said.
-*-
"I just can't believe you like my brother." Mckenzie said to Bella.
