Stitch these wounds with me tonight

(jinxx POV)

her heart raced loudly in her chest.she looked like she was in deep thought.

I noticed that the brightness and liveliness that once burned in her eyes has faded away. all that remained was stress,guilt,and anger.

I wondered what's bothering her so much thats making her almost unrecognizable.

she was falling apart at the seams and destroying herself physically along the way.

her smile wasnt the same anymore either.but still beautiful, none the less.

"don't you have a girlfriend to go home to?" she asked coldly.

I frowned, at the thought of sammi, and what I had done to her and our relationship.

"no.I don't." I said in a serious tone.

"why not?"

I realized that every moment I spent with saphire, I didn't have a single thought of sammi.well atleast not until now.

as if by magic she automatically made me forget everything that had held me down.

I smiled. "my last girlfriend and I had a lot of problems.she couldn't take it anymore after a while, so..she left."

her lips formed a straight line.

"what about you? don't you have a boyfriend?"

she looked down.deep in thought again.

"we had a...disagreement and we... both..moved on." she choked out but never lifted her head.

"do you want to talk about it?" I ask.

she answers quickly as she lifted her head and wiped away tears that were in the midst of falling.

"no."

for someone who once was so strong and emotionally intimidating, she sure does fall apart easily. as if she's never been through a hard time in her life.

does she know how to handle her own feelings? more importantly,can she handle her own feelings?

I damn sure hope so.

"tomorrow, I want you to try and stay in school.the whole day." I said softly.

she frowned. "no promises."

I sighed and got up from the bed.

there was only one way I could make her stay in school.well..the only possible way I can think of..

I walked out of the room with my car keys in hand.

she followed behind me. "where are you going?"

"home." I said in a firm voice.

"what? why? did I say something wrong?"

I could sense the pain in her voice.

I stopped at the front door and smiled at her. "no.but you're coming with me."

she stood there silently.

"don't worry, we'll be back."

I pulled her towards my car and she got in, almost willingly. 

*at the house*

I went straight to my room and grabbed some clothes, toothbrush, shampoo and body wash.

I quickly stuffed them into my old travel bag, and walked out to the living room.

saphire was holding one of the picture frames that was on the wall.

"is this her? your ex?" she pointed at an old photo of me and sammi from last year.

I sighed and dropped my bag by the front door. "yeah.thats her."

she grinned. "she's pretty."

"yeah." I frowned.

as she put back the picture on the wall, I shook the thought of sammi out of my head, and concentrated on taking care of saphire.

"lets go." I said as I walked out the front door and locked the door behind her.

*back at saphires house*

"tell me, why are you doing this?"she asks.

"if you're not going to stay in school by yourself, I'm just gonna have to make you stay." I smiled.

"and how are you going to do that?"

I sensed fear in her voice.

"Im going with you."

she stood there,in shock, not saying a word.

"I don't want you missing out on classes, just because you're having a bad day..this is the only way I can think of, to make you stay in school, saphire." I added.

she took a deep breath. "no.you can't do that."

I raised an eyebrow. "why not?"

"because..you..just can't.ok? I can't tell you why at the moment. but I just can't let you go with me."

I sighed and pulled her closer to me.

"plead all you want, but I'm staying with my decision." I whispered almost seductively in her ear.

"I hate you." she looked away from me.

I chuckled. "I hate you more."

she held back a smile, as she continued trying to look away but i knew what she was trying to do.

i felt her heart beat race again against my chest.

I wondered why..

I let go of her and she walked straight towards the kitchen and into one of the cabinets.

I followed her and saw she was swallowing down some pills.

as soon as she turned to face me, she didn't make much eye contact. she just headed towards her room without a word. I looked over at the pills she took and realized they were strong sleeping pills...

I shook my head in disappointment.

"I can't let her destroy herself like this.." I said to my self before following her to bed..
