Out of touch so far (part 2)

(jinxx POV)

"well..." I sighed

andy turned to the fridge and grabbed a couple of beers, then handed me one.

"it was all just a big mistake." I continued.

"what happened?" he asked

"she ditched school a lot, and I decided to go with her, so she wouldn't ditch...she didn't like that idea..but I went anyway."

"and?" andy took a sip of his beer.

"and things went wrong.ok? lets leave it at that."

"jinxx...I'm sure it wasn't your fault."

I rolled my eyes and drank some of my beer.

"is she ok?" he asked.

"yeah..the doctor said she was going to be fine, so after that I left."

andys eyes widened."how wrong did things go?!" he shifted his weight to one leg.

"I fought her ex, and the girlfriend got a hold of her with a blade...and..."I took a deep breath "she was pretty bad.but I took her to the hospital.and now shes ok"

"are you sure about that?"

"yeah.I made sure of it.I know savanah will definitely be there for her,so..I'm not worried."

andy sighed. "savanah was practically on her deathbed...how are you so sure that she'll be there for saphire?" his lips formed a straight line.

"because I talked to her...well, wasnt able to talk, just use her eyes soo we talked through a blinking method."

"I don't know man.that last time I saw saphire, she was a mess."

I raised an eyebrow. "how long ago was that?"

"about a month and a half ago.I'm not really sure. she was at some park that I passed by when I was coming home from the jewellers."

"was she with anyone?"

"no,just by herself on an old black swing"

"she was probably waiting for someone."

"how would you know?" he asked.

"I don't.but she's a strong person.I know shes found a way to cope by now."

"jinxx..." he looked at me, disappointed.

"what?"

"don't do this."

"don't do what?"

"don't make up excuses.I know she needs you.probably more so now,than she ever did.why don't you just go see her already?" he looked frustrated.

"because...I've moved on..and she's an adult.she can handle it.I know she can."

I've made myself believe it.for her sake and mine. it took me awhile to realize she wouldn't need me, with savanah around.

what was harder to do was forgetting all the feelings I had for her.but eventually I did,and now I was completely detached. from her and love, entirely.

"If you say so, man."

I shook off the thoughts of the past conversation.

I chuckled. "so what was up with juliets little outburst earlier?"

andy laughed. "I've been a pain in the ass to her these past 3 months and I've been 'arguing' with her a lot,on purpose."

"for what exactly?" I took another sip from my beer.

"to I get her mad enough to nearly rip my head off." he laughed again. "it was basically a part of my proposal plan."

"ah! I see." I smirked.

"it really paid off." he smiled.

I nodded as I finished off my beer.

"lets hope shes still not going to rip your head off."

we both laughed, then went back to the backyard with the rest of the guys...

the rest of the day was spent at andys place.

the girls planned out the details of the wedding and the guys ended up having a burger eating contest.

andy and I only ate about 2 before forfeiting. jake won by eating 3 more than ashley and only 1 more than cc. ohh the bottomless stomach that jake has...

I guess i could say it was a day well spent..
