Out of touch so far (part 3)

(saphires POV)

**Friday night**

school was over, and the day was nearly done.I'm surely glad of it.

I walked past my parents sitting in the livingroom, as I went to my room.

right at my doorway, I heard mom call my name..

I turn around and go back to the livingroom.

it was the first time in months that they've spoken to me.I hope its to make amends. I'm more than ready to..

"sit down."dad says in a firm voice.

I obeyed and sat down in the small couch in front of them.

"saphire, I think its time we ended this" mom starts off the conversation.

"I agree" dad adds.

I nodded.

maybe they've realized that I've suffered from this just as much as they have.

"we can't just keep pretending that your not apart of this family, because whether we like it or not, you're still our daughter." dad says.

"we thought about what you said a few months ago, and we believe its time that you lived up to it."mom said.

I thought for a moment.but I couldn't think of what they were talking about.

I gave them a confused look.

"you don't remember saying: 'I don't need to be here.I dont need you,dad, or that freak you call a daughter' ?"

I remembered, I remember reading that in savanahs notebook..

I frowned at its memory.

"I remember now."

"saphire,I think your old enough to show us you can live up to your own word." dad says.

"now that savanahs gone, and your about to turn 19,we believe its time to move on.for all our sakes."

dad sighs. "what your mom is trying to say is..we want you to move out."

I was momentarily speechless.

how could they do this?! im not physically able to live on my own.especially not now..couldn't they see that?

"what?" I managed to say.

"don't worry.if you want, we can keep some of your things here, until you get a place of your own." mom said.

there was no point in arguing with them..I would only lose in the end.

but I did have only one request..

I sighed. "fine...but can you guys hold on to savanahs old stuff for me too?"

they looked at each other for a moment in shock and confusion.

then mom nodded at me.

"you can start packing in the morning." dad said in a happier tone.

"I'm surprised.you're taking this extremely well, saphire.I'm proud of you." mom smiled at me.

I forced a smile and nodded at her as I left to my room..well, my soon to be ex-room.

I opened my bedside table drawer and pulled out my bottle of sleeping pills.

I opened the bottle and downed about 4 of them and got into bed.

it only took about 30 minutes for me to feel sleepy.and another for me to actually fall asleep.

maybe tomorrow won't be soo bad...
