"Tell me more about you, Jeff." I said sweetly.  We were cuddled next to each other in bed and Jeff was gently stoking my hair.

"What do you want know?" He asked.

"Everything."

"Well, let's see...I was born March 16th 1986 on a sunny winter morning in the well-known town of Boston, Massachusetts." He started.

I giggled. "I didn't mean the English teacher version."

"Oh. You mean the boring, facts version." He joked. "Ok. My birthday is March 16th, I'm from Boston, I'm 23 years old, an only child, my favorite color is blue, I've never had a girlfriend, my middle name is Marcus, when I was younger I had a dog named Sam...That dog was my best friend.  He was a golden retriever.  Ummmm...what else....I got held back a year in high school, my best friend is Billy Stewart...he was co-captain of my high school football team, I was the captain of course...quarterback. I led the team to 4 consecutive state championships, teaching is actually my very first job, I never worked before this, and I hate the color pink."

"I hate pink too."

"Hey, that's something we have in common." He said excitedly, making me laugh.

"In class, you said you lost your virginity when you were 13." I reminded him.  I was confused about that since he never had a girlfriend.

"I lied.  I've never slept with anyone.  I'm saving that for you."

"Then why'd you tell everyone then?"

"You know how mean high school kids can be...they wouldn't respect me if I said I was a 23 year old virgin who's never had a girlfriend."

"That's true." I agreed.

"Tell me about you, Scar."

"There's not much to tell.  My middle name's Maria...it was my grandmother's name, my birthday's January 5th, I've never had any pets, my favorite color is purple, I'm got accepted into Harvard, I have no friends besides teachers, and my parents hate me."

"I knew half that stuff already, Scar.  Tell me about your grandmother."

"Well, she was the sweetest person ever. She saved me from my parents. When she was alive, my family and I were living with her and whenever my parents got into a fight, she'd take me out of the house and take me out for ice cream and do whatever I wanted to do.  And whenever my parents yelled at me and were about to hit me, my grandma would step in and threaten them." I chuckled a bit.  "One time she was eating a bowl of soup and my mother was about to slap me for dropping my glass of milk on the floor.  My grandma stood up and got between me and her and threatened to stab my mother with the spoon...it's funny thinking about it now.  She scared my mother with a spoon...that's priceless (A/N Thanks to Weirdchick96 for giving me this idea!).   Her exact words were, 'you lay one hand on this child, and I'll stab you in the face with this spoon"

"Really? A spoon?" He said, laughing.

"Yep.  My grandma was really something."

"It sounds like she really loved you...and you loved her."

"Yeah...She did.  I think I stopped believing in love when she died.  The love died along with my grandma." I finally realized why I stopped trying to love people.

"No." He stated, shaking his head. "Love never dies.  It lasts forever dead, or alive.  Your Grandma's probably watching you right now, from Heaven."

"You think so?"

"I know so.  She'll always be with you, Scar, in your heart."

I smiled at him.  Jeff is really sweet and I can tell he really loves me. He understands me, but the only thing we have in common so far is that we both hate the color pink.

A/N  Short chapter...I'm not really in "the zone" today.    This wasn't the greatest chapter, but it's the best I could do.  My best ideas happen when I"m really focused. But anyways...please comment and vote!
