Chapter 27

"I think I'm ready to talk to them." John randomly stated. I saw Jeff smile and out his arm around his twin brother.

"Me too." Jeff concurred. He held out his free arm, gesturing me to get into the hug too. I rolled my eyes and went over to them. Jeff pulled all of us into a group hug. Mmmm...Jeff smells really good...wait...that's not Jeff. I looked up and there was the green eyed twin...John.

"You smell really good, John"

Both he and Jeff chuckled. "Thank you."

After a few more moments we all let go and walked into the house, where we found Bill and Clarissa sitting in the living room. Both of them were reading books. Clarissa jumped up when she heard the door close.

"Hey mom. Hey Dad." Jeff greeted.

"Hello sweety." his mom replied.

There was an awkward silence after that. Finally, John broke the silence.

"I'd like to get to know you two. It'd be nice to have parents again."

Clarissa smiled and ram to give John a hug. "I'm so sorry I ever gave you up." she cried.

"It's fine."

She pulled away from him. "I hope the people who adopted you treat you well."

"Mhm. They did. They died in a car crash a few years ago."

Clarissa gasped. "Oh my god. Im sorry."

"It's in the past now. All that matters is that I'm here with my real parents. Right?"

"Of course."

"And I was hoping that maybe....I could be apart of this family again.". He admitted.

"That's all I ever wanted.". Clarissa cried again. Then she hugged John tightly again, then gestured for Jeff and Bill to join in. I stood at a distance, feeling left out. "Scarlette, get over here. Youre apart of this family too.".

I laughed and gladly joined in in the family hug. This is what I've always dreamed about...having a loving, caring family that's always there for eachother.

"As long as we're in this hug, I have good news...or at least i think it's good news." I said.

"Scar, if you say it's good news, then its good news." Jeff said, encouraging me to spit out the good news.

"ok. Here it goes." I took a deep breath in and out. "I'm pregnant."

Then I heard a loud thump. We all broke away from eachother adm saw Jeff lying in the floor. That big baby...he fainted!!

"That's exactly how Bill reacted when I told him I was pregnant...with twins." Clarissa stated, having a short flashback.

"I'll get a bucket of water." Bill said as he left the room. I leaned down on the floor next to Jeff.

"Jeff? Jeff wake up." I shook him. After a few seconds of waiting for him to come to, I slapped him. Still nothing!! Well...there was the sound of John chuckling, but Jeff didn't wake up.

"Alright. I have the bucket. Scarlette, you might want to take cover or you'll be soaking wet too." Bill stated. I quickly moved away and Bill poured the bucket of ice water onto Jeff's face. Jeff shot up, startled by the coldness. "See? That did it."

Bill put the bucket down on the floor and helped Jeff up.

"You're really pregnant?" Jeff asked, making sure he heard me correctly right before fainted.

I nodded my head. "I guess the news wasn't as good as I thought it was."

Jeff laughed and gave me a hug. Great...now I'm wet. "No. It's better than good. It's great news, Scar."
