Amethyst's POV
With spread wings I rose into the sky gaining speed as I flap them even harder zooming into the clouds. My name is Amethyst. I'm a RainWing dragon and I live with my younger sister Sapphire and my friends Utopia and Macaw. But Utopia calls herself Ruby and Macaw calls herself Emerald. Its because of me and my sister since we have jewel names. We call ourselves the Jewels of the forest. Sadly no one takes us seriously so we spend most of our time flying. Apart from the fact that were teased about our 'name' I don't fit in. I have different shades then most normal RainWing dragons and my friends and I aren't lazy. The other RainWings are lazy but my friends and I aren't. We're unique and we appreciate that. We also like to go on adventures. We explore new parts of the jungle everyday!
"I WIN!" I yell to my friends as they trail me past a tree that we marked with flags as a finish line.
"You *gasp* always *pant* win." Utopia said as she came second.
I laughed and found a tree to sit on as I watch my other friends pass the finish line. Of course Sapphire finished last like the little dragon she is.
"I told you guys to wait!" She yelled at us.
"Um no you didn't." Macaw replied her scales flashing red, blue, and yellow just like a Macaw
"Yes I did!" She fired back.
"Woah guys please calm down!" I calmly yell as I fly down from my tree.
They take my advice and silence themselves. No one spoke for a while until Utopia suggested that we head back to base. We walk there instead of flying. But when we got back there it was quiet. Like totally deserted quiet. We hear a ruffle in the bushes and I look to the left to see a small tail being pulled into the bushes. I lunge at it and growl. Only it wasn't a full grown dragon. It was a little RainWing. I instantly recognized her as Kinkajou from a while back when we first met.
"Kinkajou-" I hiss through a closed mouth. "What are you doing here!" I whisper shout
"I-I'm sorry I wa-was just exploring and um..." She trailed off into silence.
"Um what!" I yell at her.
