Chapter 13

Amethyst's POV

I lay down after waiting for the guard to come back. It's taking him forever. I didn't think it would take that long. I get tired as the sun is setting and I give up. As my eyes started closing I hear my name yelled. My head jerks up and I see Sapphire, Macaw, and Utopia struggling to release themselves from the guards to see me. I get up immediately and run as far as I can to see them. When they reach the ground they all fly forward and I embrace them. It's been forever since I last did this.

"Don't get into any trouble while we're gone." One of the guards says as he ties up Sapphire across from me. "Don't want to Queen to get mad at us." The other guard says as he ties up Macaw and Utopia. The last guard fixes the chains on me so that I couldn't escape. They nod to each other and fly off and I fall into a deep sleep.

Lyre's POV

After Glory settles down in my camp. I went back out to collect some berries to eat. I walk deeper into the forest than normal to collect berries that I call rainbow berries. They taste like what you like most. So for me they would taste like mangos with a little bit of heat. I collect a while basketful and I then fly off back to my camp. When I get there Clay is conscious and Glory is talking to him.

"Um hi?" I say waving at Clay. He smiles at me and gets up. "So your Lyre? Glory's been telling me about you." I blush. I haven't had friends in a really long time. It felt nice for someone to talk about me.

"Um ya! I'm Lyre." I say with a smile. I set down the berries with a thud and Glory looks at them with wide eyes. She looks hungry. "I brought food. They're special berries that taste what you like most!"

"Ooh!" Clay says his mouth watering. I pour some out and give them to Clay and Glory. "This tastes like mangos!" Glory exclaims and I smile knowing that she liked the berries. "They taste like cooked cows!" Clay says, his mouth still full with berries. "What do they taste like for you Lyre?" Glory asks me. I already know the answer but I pretend to think.

"For me they taste like toasted berries." I calmly say. "Oh that's right! Your a Skywing and Rainwing mix!" Glory exclaims erasing the confused look from her face. I smiled and fly over to where I was sleeping the night before. I stare up into the night sky counting the stars to make me tired. I lie down my eyes slowly closing. To my left Glory starts to lie down while Clay does the same while still eating the berries. I smile as my eyes fully close and I'm pulled into a quiet, peaceful dreamless sleep.

I have finally updated! I am so so so so so sorry for not updating. Christmas break was just so confuzzling. Also Happy New Years! Also school just started up for me again (why?!). So that means that my schedule will be cramped. But! I do get Friday off and a three day weekend! So yay! I can't wait until the next chapter gets up. I have a special surprise for you guys.
