Chapter 14

Glory's POV

I was awoken to a piercing scream. I was jerked awake and in seconds I was up on my feet looking for the sound. Right in front of me was a scary scene. Lyre was on the ground struggling to break free from a SeaWing. But not just any SeaWing. "Tsunami!" I yell lunging towards her. I fell in top of her pushing her to the ground. I lay on top of her and turn to look at Lyre. She was struggling to get up and I sighed a sigh of relief. I turn around and face Tsunami ready to yell at her when from behind me Lyre screams again. This time when I turn around Starflight is on top of Lyre. She looked like she was about to pass out when Clay shoots himself at Starflight. "Stop it!" He yells. His voice echoes around the forest and for one moment we're still. Frozen as if time itself stopped. I turn around to face Tsunami and I hop off of her turning around so I could help Lyre up.

I walk over to her and lift her up. Her legs were shaking from the attack. When she stands up I hug her and wipe the dirt off her colorful scales. I turn around about ready to bur st at Tsunami and Starflight. "Why did you guys do that!" I yell at them. THey looked gui,ty and there heads were hung in shame. "Sorry Glory." Starflight says. "Sorry Glory." Tsunami mumbles. "Why were you guys attacking Lyre!" I continue to yell at them. "Well I'm sorry! That's a SkyWing! They almost killed you!"

I star at them hard. I stare as if I could just make them apologize by looking at them. "I know that they almost killed us! I know that! Do you think I don't remember when queen scarlet took us captive and made us fight to the death! Do you think I don't remember her putting me on a plant to show off! I remember it all!" I fire back at them. When I finished yelling I remember the whole experience and I sink down to the ground tears in my eyes. "I-I remember it all." I say in barely a whisper. The tears start falling out and I lift my head. Lyre looks stunned and Starflight, Tsunami, and Clay hang their heads. They all knew that I had been through much worse.

I look up and Lyre stands in front of me. She smiles and helps me up and pulls me into a hug. "I'm sorry." She whispers. Suddenly we hear a loud sound of a trumpet. Ours heads look up when a net falls from the sky. Everybody quickly gets up and tries to run into the forest. Unfortunately we were to late. Everybody was captured. I fell hard to the ground as 2 guards landed in front of my struggling self. Looking at them I sigh in defeat and lay my head down. I let them pull me up and and chain me. Inside of me I just felt so dead and dry. Using the last of my strength I looked up to see Lyre struggling against all odds to break free. I could see why, she was a hybrid dragon. Her father a SkyWing, her mother a RainWing. I quickly glance at my friends and Tsunami is fighting to be free, Clay is doing the same. Starflight stars panicking and trying to bite every dragon that tried coming close to him. I sigh as my world fades into a world of darkness.

Amethyst's POV

"Amethyst! Amethyst!" I fell someone trying to nudge me awake. I slowly open my eyes and Utopia is on the ground in front of me pushing me side with her claw. I roll over so that my back is facing her. "What..." I say. "Look!" I lift my head up to see 5 SkyWing guards carrying nets with dragons in them. I lay my head back on the ground and hear a thud as the nets hit the ground. I look at the dragons. I could only see one which looked like a SkyWing with RainWing colors. I lay my head on the ground as she catches my eye. We make vital eye contact when I pass out.

Glory's POV

I wake up tied to a post my mouth tried shut with a metal chain. I look up and realize I'm in a dark empty room. I sit up and look around seeing if I could see any of my other friends. I couldn't see anybody. I hear a sound and immediately fall down pretending I'm asleep. The cage door opens and a SkyWing guard comes in he walks around and I can almost see pain and sadness in his eyes for a split second. He unties me then yanks me out of this room into the main throne room.

I'm pulled out and what I see in front of me terrifies me. I see Amethyst, Sapphire, Utopia, and Macaw. Macaw was sleeping on the floor. Sapphire had her back faced towards the entire room. Utopia was trying to struggle. Then there was Amethyst. Two guards were struggling to hold her down and there was a chain wrapped around her mouth, keeping it shut. Worst of all her scales were continuously changing. It was normal for a RainWings scales to change but, not like that. It scared me, something was wrong with her. I looks around the room and across the hall Lyre was being pulled out. She looks around and spots the 4 dragonets being tied up and held against their will. She looks at me with terrified eyes and I nod slowly. I told her about why we were in this kingdom in the first place. Her eyes grew wider and she looked away from them. We were taken the the very middle in front of the 4 dragonets and the throne.

Someone blows a trumpet and from the top of the palace Queen Ruby flies down. I remember her but she didn't look like the one that liked us. Her eyes were glowing red, she was wearing sparkling red jewelry and to top it off a shiny ruby necklace. "Well, well, well what do we have here? A dragonet of destiny, a traitor, and the jewels of the jungle. What a beautiful combination." Ruby said pointing to each of us as she said our names. "Now before we get further into this I want to take to both of you I'm private." Her voice echoes through the palace as she points at Lyre and I. I take a big gulp as the guards shove us towards a different room along with Queen Ruby.

Dun dun dun!! How do you like that! I finally posted and I might not post this week and on the weekend it depends cause I may or may not be going to Utah! I'm excited! Also schools being mean because my school does a thing called Science Fair and invention convention and I chose invention convention and it is HARD!! Also I am currently working on two new books that I think you guys and going to love. So I love you my kittens! Goodnight!
