Lost.

Chapter 3

"Your mind seems busy tonight" Johanna said catching my attention making me look at her

"Yea, i don't know why tho. It has been happening since the last week" i said as i rested my wrists on the counter in front of her.

Sighing, she looked at me. "You need to take some rest" she said looking at me with her blue orbs.

"I don't know what you're talking about" i said smiling brightly at her.

She shook her head and gave me my orders. I pushed my short brown hair back, taking my orders as i went to where Emily was sitting.

"Seems like you had a nice conversation" she said as i gave her her coffee and cheesecake.

"She said i need to get some rest" i said sitting in front of Emily.

"She's right" she said chewing on her cheesecake.

"Why so?" My lips curled in a frown

"you've been acting weird lately" she said.

I raised an eyebrow at her as i took a sip from my coffee.

"How weird?" I asked.
"I don't know. You're just not you" she said

"Like you're sad about something or your mind is busy" she added,

"I don't know, are you okay?" She asked as a worried expression settled on her face

"I'm okay, i promise" i said smiling at her

I played with the paper around my coffee cup and wondered, am i really okay?

"Did you change your shift?" She asked

I looked at her, "No." I said.

She was about to talk when the sound of thunder cut her off.

We both looked outside at the same time.

I smiled big when i saw the rain. Lightning started to strike

"Let me be" i said looking at her smiling brightly

"Go ahead" she said
I got up quickly and ran over the door
I heard Johanna's voice call me but i didn't care.

The moment i went out rain started hitting my face.

I pushed my hair back and started dancing around.

The lightning strike again making me squeal in happiness.

"Get in you're gonna get an Electric shock by the lightning and die" Emily yelled at me as she chuckled

"Come out if you dare" i yelled back at her

She stepped out. Once the rain hit her face she squealed and went back in quickly.

"Coward" i yelled at her sticking my tongue out

She frowned at me through the glass door
I laughed at her frown and jumped around.

It was freezing but i couldn't miss a storm.

Most people are scared from lightning and thunder or storms in general.

But for me, storms were my favourite
how could you miss such an intense weather like that?

Once it's a storm my energy comes out of nowhere.

I woke up at the alarm going off. i sleeply turned it off. looking at the clock. 11am

"oh shit"

i jumped out quickly. going to the bathroom i washed my face and rushed to my room.
Changing my clothes. i felt dizziness and a very bad headache with a closed nose

"urggggh" i said to myself knowing that i catched a cold 'cause of what i did last night

i put my hair on a pony tail quickly. i turned my room's light off and rushed to the bathroom.

i opened the cabinet and took some pain killers. slipping on my shoes i took my coat and purse and left the apartment

i ran to the coffee shop i work at, Destiny.

i went to the back door quickly.

running to the dressing room i changed my clothes quickly and put my apron on.
i put my stuff in my locker and went to the front where i've been greeted by Emily and Juliana.

"morning lazy head" Emily said

"Morning, is sam here?" i asked scared

"Yup. he's waiting for you on the back. on his office" Juliana answered

"Shit" i mumbled under my breath

i was about to turn around and go to Sam's office when i heard his voice.

"15 minutes late, Celine" he looked at his watch then back up at me

"I'm so so sorry Sam." i said trying to save myself

"your insomnia is causing you a lot of problems Celiene" he said

"I know, i'm sorry i can't help it. i promise i'll be on time the next time" i said still trying to make up the situation

"You know, i can't stay mad at you for a long time with that angelic face you got. How could a father stay mad at his children" he said smiling

I smiled brightly. "Thanks sam, i promise it won't happen again"

"Okay kiddo, now go to work" he said pointing at the cashier area

"With pleasure" i said smiling then turning around

I sighed heavily, "thank god"
"You got out of it that time" Emily said giggling

"Like i always do" i giggled

Juliana watched us smiling.

Juliana Wasn't a very close friend to me and Emily.

She was just our co-worker
As long as we're working, we're friends.

Once we get out of work. We are strangers but i know that if i needed her she'll be there for me.

She is a good friend we're just not close.

The rest of the day was busy with high school students or people coming from their work to catch a coffee.

For me it wasn't that good, the pain killers did totally nothing and i didn't drink any coffee which made it even worse.
