Duncan sat on his pool steps with a beer in his hand, as he watched his two best friends float around.

"Why couldn't Leo come?" Gaby asked.

Tate sighed, "For the last time Gaby, he got arrested for stealing - I mean trying to steal."

"What did he try to steal?"

"I'm not sure, but it doesn't matter anyways."

Duncan took another sip of his drink before setting it down and swimming over to Gaby.

"Hey loser." Duncan greeted her.

Gaby rolled her eyes, "Hey butt head. Thanks for inviting us over today, I mean you don't have any food but the pool makes up for it." Gaby smiled.

"It's good." He put his hand on her leg, "When was the last time you shaved?!"

Gaby smacked his hand off, "Shut up! I haven't been anywhere and I didn't think you were gonna call!" Gaby began to try slapping him, but unfortunately he saw it was coming, so he tipped her over before she got the chance.

Gaby sprang out of the water looking like a wet cat, "You little shit!"
She began splashing him and kicking him underwater. Duncan couldn't help but to laugh his ass off.

They were laughing so hard that the two didn't even notice Tate getting out of the water.

"Hey where ya going?" Gaby stopped splashing Duncan and turned to Tate.

"I need to call my dad for a sec." Tate said as he stepped out.

"While you're up can you turn on the radio please?" Duncan asked.

Tate grabbed his phone then turned on the radio, then he stepped inside the house.

"He's not calling his dad." Gaby said with a smirk.

"What do you mean?" Duncan asked.

"He's been seeing someone. He's always calling them every like 15 minutes, its ridiculous."

Duncan shrugged, "Is she hot?"

"I don't think so. If she was, you know he would brag about her. I tried asking him about it but he just tells me that she's a friend."

"What's her name?"

"Don't know, he won't tell me anything."

Tate walked out of the house, smiling down at his phone.

"Dad say something funny?" Duncan asked while keeping a cocky smile on his face.

"Oh wait, I forgot he wasn't talking to his dad." Gaby replied after.

Tate stood there with his face blood red.

"Whatever." Tate sat his phone down the metal table and made his way back into the pool.

"Okay so, if you weren't talking your daddy, who were you talking to?" Duncan raised his eyebrows.

"A friend." Tate said quietly.

Gaby squinted her eyes, "Bitch, no. We know when you're lying. You're eyes get all glassy and your cheeks get flushed. So spill."

Tate hesitated before finally saying, "I mean it. She's just a friend."

Duncan and Gaby looked at each other, not believing a word he was saying.

"So uh Tate, what's your friends name?" Duncan wiggled his eyebrows.

"Um...Her name is...Look guys can we just enjoy the cool water and relax? It's been a tough week."

"It's only Monday, you shit head." Duncan said as he splashed Tate.
