As Duncan was looking around his home, observing all the new furniture, he heard a extremely familiar voice from upstairs.
"So the punks finally back, eh?"
He turned around and saw his oldest brother Donnie, standing at the top of the staircase. A warm smile spread across Duncan's face, as they both ran to greet eachother. Normally Duncan doesn't do hugs. But in this case, he loved them. As he was bear hugging his brother, he heard another voice from behind him. He turned around and saw his whole family, greeting him and smiling like idiots.
"Well don't just stand there ya big goof, come here" His older sister, Demi, had changed a lot from the last time he saw her.
Before she had long, Raven black hair like the rest of her family. Now her hair was even longer, but she had lilac colored hair.
He rushed over to hug his sister. He picked her up and spun her around. The last time she saw him he was only about 5'6. Now, with him being 17 and nearly full grown, he's nearly 6'0.
After he greeted the rest of his family, his mother informed him they were having a barbecue, as a celebration for him returning from "hell."
He went up to his bedroom and when he opened the door he noticed something.
The room was completely fucking empty.
"Um, ma?"
"Yes, dear?"
"Where's all my furniture?"
His mother walked upstairs and into his bedroom and smiled then turned to him.
"Oh, sorry darling I forgot. After Darren, Donnie and Demi moved out, we moved the furniture in the house around. Your bedroom set is in Donnie's Old room. I'm sorry I forgot to tell you sweetie."
Duncan sighed and nodded. He went to Donnie's old bedroom and found his bed set and everything waiting for him.
He always had loved Donnie's bedroom. Aside from his parents, his was the biggest. He also noticed something lying on his bed. He set his duffle bag down and went over to observe it.
It was a new iPhone.
The current phone he had was a iPhone 4s. Which was deactivated since he couldn't use it in "hell."
He walked into the doorway and yelled,
"Thank you!" to his mother and father. Which he knew it was most likely it was his mother that got it for him, since his father didn't care if he was dead or alive.
The phone had already been set up. Demi had already put all of his old contacts for him. But in his eyes, a phone wasn't what he wanted right now. He wanted his sweet, sweet bed.
He put the phone on his nightstand and jumped onto his bed like he used to. Except this time, the bed fucking broke.
As the loud crash echoed through the house, it wasn't a surprise to him that his mother was the first one to check on him.
Duncan was just laying in his bed, well, he was laying in what used to be his bed.
His mother sighed and helped him up.
"You know, I don't know exactly what's going on in that head of yours. But you think it would be a little more than just 'Hey lets jump on a bed that hasn't been touched in nearly 5 years yippee!"
Duncan laughed at his mothers last comment.
"Yes I'm very sorry ma, I was just so excited for my new phone! Yippee!"
The last line he spoke in a very high pitched, "girl" voice. Mocking what his mother sounded like when she said it.
"Okay well, when your father and the boys get done doing yard work I'll have them help you fix this. For now why don't you nap in Derek's room." She walked over to him and playfully played with his hair, then walked out.
Duncan let out a loud sigh as he exited his room. When he found Derek's door, he noticed the room was very much in bright colors. Not like Duncan's at all. Colors of vibrant green covered the walls, and his bed was dark blue.
He scoffed at the thought of his father actually agreeing to painting the room this crazy color.
He plopped down, carefully, on Derek's bed and lay his head on the pillow. He must've been nearly dead because the second he put his head down, he was out like a light.
