Duncan clamped his eyes shut when Derek kicked the sand towards him.

"You asshole!" Duncan quickly got up from his towel and started chasing after Derek.

It was Chelsea's idea to spend the day at the beach. She thought it would be good for her and Derek's relationship if she got to know his siblings.
Demi, Leah, and Chelsea were all playing volleyball in the water together.
Donnie was sitting in the lawn chair eating hotdogs while cheering on Leah.
"Yeah baby! You got this!" Donnie yelled with a full mouth.

When it came to sports, Demi was incredibly competitive. No matter what sport it was, she was always determined to win. It was the same when it came to dating as well.

Duncan was running full speed at Derek, that was until he tripped on a shell and landed face first in the sand.

Everyone busted out in laughter, with Derek falling to his knees out of breath, one from laughing, two from running for his life.

Everyone was still dying of laughter, when Chelsea came out of the water to help Duncan up.
"You okay?" She looked worried.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." Duncan said while shaking the sand out of his face and hair.
Chelsea let out a giggle while she stared into his eyes.
Duncan stared back, giving her a sheepish smile.
It was silent for a moment. Silent between them, not to everyone else.
That was until Derek stood up and put his arm around Chelsea's soaking wet waist.

"You're such a loser!" Derek said while laughing hysterically, pointing at Duncan.
Chelsea elbowed him in the ribs, causing Duncan to smirk.

Before anymore words could be said, Donnie and the rest of the gang showed up.
"Who wants to go get some smoothies?" Leah asked cheerfully.
Everyone nodded and headed to gather all the supplies up.
Duncan on the other hand, decided to get all the sand off him by getting the in water.
When he looked back on the shore and noticed Chelsea glancing his way, he decided to make fun out of it and he began to flex his stomach. He smirked to himself as he ran the water all over his abs.
He expected her to be drooling by the time he looked back, but instead all he saw was Derek grabbing a handful of her ass while kissing her.
Duncan sighed as he walked out of the water.

"I saw that." Demi said while keeping a stern look on her face.
"Saw what?" Duncan asked cluelessly.
"You were trying to impress Chelsea. I'm not an idiot."
They were standing on the shoreline while Donnie and Leah were stuck gathering everything up.
"No I wasn't. I was literally just getting the shit off my body, relax."
"Duncan, I get it. She's hot, sexy, and gorgeous. But she's you're brothers fucking girlfriend. Get it together." Demi crossed her arms, and walked back to everyone.
Duncan sighed, and watched as Chelsea wrapped her arms around Derek's neck and gazed into his eyes.

You're so pathetic.
How can someone like him pull more than you?
Shut up.
Demi's right, you need to stop being a fuck head.

Duncan shook off his thoughts and caught up with everyone.
Donnie made Duncan carry almost everything, since he didn't help with anything else.
As Duncan was putting the cooler and floats in the back, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He turned and saw Chelsea, smiling.
"Let me help you." She said while picking up one of the floats.
She was wearing a pink and white floral bikini, that looked amazing on her skin tone.
She let her hair out of her bun, letting her loose beach wave curls free.
"Thank you, but you really don't have to." Duncan said.
"It's fine, Derek is on the phone anyways and Leah and Demi are talking about Leah's nephews. And Donnie is looking on his phone for smoothie places."
"Thanks for helping me up earlier, it didn't sound that nice when I said it before. I'm sorry about that."
Chelsea shook her head.
"It's okay, you did have a face full of sand when it happened."
They both let out a little laugh.

"You guys ready?" Derek came from around the car.
They nodded and quickly packed the last float, then got into the car.

Donnie was driving while Leah sat in the front seat. Derek and Chelsea were in the two back seats, Demi and Duncan were stuck in the way back.
Duncan's father had allowed them to borrow the Escalade, since Donnie drove a jeep with only 4 seats, and Derek drove a mustang.

Donnie was blaring old Journey songs, while Leah sat there smiling and watching him sing all the right lyrics to "Anyway You Want It."

Derek and Chelsea were taking pictures together, causing Demi to give Duncan the death stare when he rolled his eyes.

When they arrived to the smoothie shop, Derek spent the whole time whispering things into Chelsea's ear, causing her to blush and giggle.
Duncan tried not to stare, so he focused his attention on Demi.
She was staring at her phone, laughing.
"What's so funny?" Duncan asked.
"Oh, it's just Jesse sending me ridiculous shit."
"Where is Jesse anyways?"
"He's with his parents for the weekend. He'll be back Monday though."
Duncan nodded, continuing to gulp down his smoothie.

He glanced over at Derek and Chelsea one more time, to find Derek kissing her neck, causing Chelsea to make a pleasing face, then pushing him off.
They were sitting at a different table that was in the back of the place, towards the exit. Donnie and Leah decided to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather.

Duncan started bouncing his foot, and he began to rub his hands through his hair.
"Something wrong?" Demi asked.
Duncan shook his head.
Demi looked at him puzzled, then sighed and turned her head around.
When she looked back at Duncan, she rolled her eyes.
"You're a loser."
Duncan scoffed. "Says the one who didn't have a date for prom so you made mom take pictures of you and your friends cat."
Demi playfully punched him.
"Shut up!" She let out a laugh.

When they left the smoothie joint, Leah suggested they all stop at the boardwalk to watch the sunset.
By now all the girls had changed into their actual clothes.
Demi was wearing a maroon over sized Pink sweater with flip flops, Leah was wearing a white t shirt dress, and Chelsea was wearing a tight, high waisted, black maxi skirt with a matching crop top, leaving a little spot of her stomach open.

When they got into their spot, Duncan was mesmerized by the view. The sky was a pinkish/reddish color, and it looked absolutely gorgeous peering over the ocean.

Donnie was standing behind Leah, with his hands wrapped around her waist and humming into her ear. He looked happy, a true happy.
Duncan had never seen Donnie like this. Duncan had never seen Donnie head over heels for a girl. He smiled to himself while looking at the gorgeous view.

Demi was taking pictures of the sunset, but then afterwards she continued to text on her phone.

He looked over at Derek and Chelsea, only to find Derek to be talking on his phone and Chelsea staring off into the sunset.
He was staring at her, admiring her gorgeousness.
He was eyeing her body, looking her up and down. But when he looked back to her face, she was staring at him.
She was smirking at him, which caused him to blush in embarrassment.

She walked over to him and stood beside him, since Demi had also been to busy talking on the phone to stay in one place.
"Gorgeous, isn't it?" Chelsea asked him.
Should I say it?
Dont.
Why not?
Because she'll think you're a douchebag.
Just do it.
No.
Yes.
No.
"What's gorgeous? You or the sunset?"
Chelsea looked at him surprised, but then she started to smile and blush.
"You know, when I was younger, my dad used to always take me and my mom to watch the sunset. I practically grew up watching the sunset on the beach shore." Chelsea said.
Duncan loved seeing her talk about her childhood.
He hadn't noticed he was staring at her, smiling and gazing into her eyes.

Fuck.
