Large white eyes, with no pupil in the center
stare at me from across the room
as I move I know they follow
turning to watch me as I scramble
looking for an exit
She's small, with short hair
and a chilling grin
she looks so human
And I'm so frightened
My heart is freezing and my pulse slows
Coming so close to a stop
And yet, I still feel alive
Hyperaware and hypersensitive
To everything around me
But the only threat is her
She knows it, and so do I
I need to leave
Need to find safety
But by now my legs have turned to stone
Not literally
Mentally, I am about to break
literally
And her eyes get closer, though she isn't moving
And I realize with a frightening calm
That I'm moving towards her
An unknown force propelling me in her direction
And though I'm trying to fight it
My soul and body aren't connected anymore
And I watch the horror from above
