Though we worked so hard to fly,
from the beginning
we were destined to die.
So its no surprise
that we've fallen,
before we could even rise.
And now it feels
like our hearts are buffering,
the connection slowed by the mountain of lies.
And a tear-stained face; still human?
Has become our norm.
So we cross our hearts, and hope to die.
