//Matt's POV//

"Elliott" I said looking at my boyfriend beside me. Today Eli was going in for the optic-nerve surgery. He asked me to come along side with his mother. I wouldn't miss this for the world. Elliott, my amazing boyfriend, would finally have the ability to see me.

"Y-yeah" he said looking more and more tense by the minute. His hand started gripping his jeans and his knuckles start turning red and white. I place my hand over his and rub my thumb over it. I feel him calm a little before I say,

"Relax babe. It'll be fine. You'll be able to see again and best of all you'll be able to see me. Isn't that great, Ellie-Bear?!"

"I-I guess so. I'm just-what if it doesn't w-work. What If I l-loose my sight again. What if s-something g-goes wrong. W-w-what if–" I shut him up by pressing a kiss to his lips. I felt him smile into it and put his hand behind my neck, pulling me closer. I pulled away and intertwined our hands and kissed his knuckles, right where his promise ring was' he giggled at this action. I love his giggle.

"Elliott..my love, nothing bad will happen. These are highly trained doctors and their going to make sure nothing happens during your surgery. And I'll be right outside when they tell us we can come in. I'll be by your side through everything. And if it doesn't work then we'll try again, all that matters is that you get to see again. That you get to live normally again. That you'll get to experience life again. That even if this doesn't work, I'll still be with you...because I love you. I promised you that I'd be by your side all the way. I didn't abandon you when we first met, I didn't abandon you when we first started dating, and I'm not going to leave you if the surgery doesn't work. I'll always and forever be yours" I feel tears in my eyes and I see his eyes glistening in the fluorescent lighting of the hospital ceiling lights. He smiles a genuine smile and quickly kissed me

"How did I ever get so lucky to have you?" He says after we split from the short kiss "I don't believe it was luck, I think it was fate" I say giving him a kiss on his sute little nose. "I love you so so so much my little Kitten and even if this doesn't work I'll still love you the same way I always have and always will" I smile and he pulls me into a hug

"Elliott Beckett?" We both heard. He pulled away and looked at the direction he heard the voice. It was a woman, she had red hair and green eyes and she was wearing a lab coat with a clipboard in her hands. I'm guessing she's doing the surgery.

"Yes I'm Eli Beckett"

"I'm Dr. Shells. I'll be doing your operation this afternoon. We are ready for your procedure and are confident that we can fix your eye sight soon all we need is a final check and signature of one of your next-of-kin consent" I saw Ms. Beckett sign and check the papers. The doctor was about to take Eli for his check up but he kept holding my hand and asked if I could be there for the check up. The doctor said yes but I would have to leave before the actual surgery.

30 minutes later and Eli's surgery is about to start soon. I was told to leave so that they could prepare the room and Eli for the operation. He held onto me tight but I told him that I would be right there when he woke up, I kissed him and let go of his hand. As I exited his room worry corrupted me just like it did him a while ago. What if something did happen during the procedure? Would he feel anything? Would he be okay? I didn't realize I made it back to the waiting room until Ms. Beckett placed her hands on my shoulders and shook me slightly
