Accidental Confession [Gratsu]

"WHAT?!" Gray and Natsu chorused as Erza relayed the news to them that they would be sharing a bed. "I have to share a bed with that?!" Gray continued, looking utterly disgusted at the very thought of it.

Natsu looked over at the boy with a firey glare, a sneer appearing on his face as he stared at the Ice Mage. "And what's so bad about sharing a bed with me, Ice Princess?!" Natsu snapped, clinching his already flaming fists.

"The fact that you snore like a blow horn!" Gray fired back, smashing his fist into his palm.

"Oi, knock it off you two!" Erza yelled, hitting both of them on the head hard. Both of their eyes widened before Gray sighed and crossed his arms.

"Fine. Natsu, take the bed." Gray ordered, walking off towards their hotel room.

"And what exactly are you gonna do, Snowflake?" Natsu asked, resting his hands on the back of his neck.

"I'll take the floor." Gray shrugged, disappearing in the surge of people which gave Natsu no chance to argue. Erza sighed, placing her hands on her hips before leaving, giving Natsu his key card and disappearing as well.

"Damn him. Maybe I'll make sure I snore extra loud tonight just to piss him off." Natsu grumbled to himself whilst he walked to his room on the second floor, deciding to take the stairs as he wanted as little to do with Gray as possible. After about fifteen minutes Natsu appeared at his room, 46, and walked in. When he did he saw that Gray had already set up a little makeshift bed on the floor, only visible by the last few rays of sun the peaked through the window. Natsu sighed, careful not to step on his team mate, and plopped down on the surprisingly soft bed.

Natsu and co had gone on a mission, but the place they needed to be was rather far away, so they decided to stop and rest. (For some 'strange' reason the train had been broken down that morning.) Natsu kicked his shoes off and snuggled down into the thick covers, his eyes slowly closing as he fell asleep.

"Ul!"

Natsu shot up in his bed at the shout, looking down on the floor to find Gray sat up with his knees to his chest with his arms wrapped tightly around them. "G-Gray? What're you - he yawned while rubbing sleep from his eyes - doing?" Gray looked up at Natsu who had turned on the small lamp beside him.

"Sorry, Natsu. I-I just had a...a dream. That's all." Gray crocked, wiping at the tear that had managed to escape. Natsu worriedly patted the spot beside him, showing Gray that he could come sit. Gray just glared at him. For all he knew Natsu was just going to make fun of him and call him a baby. He didn't want to deal with that right now. "Natsu if you're going to make fun of me please get it over with already."

"I'm not going to make fun of you for this. I have those dreams about Igneel too..." Natsu trailed, looking down. Gray contemplated it for a moment before he stood up and sat on the edge of the bed. "It's okay to cry y'know...I do too." Natsu muttered under his breath, slightly tired eyes staring at the white comforter. Gray didn't cry though, he just laid back, head at the end of the bed.

"What was Igneel like?" Gray asked suddenly. He'd never really listened to Natsu when he talked about his dragon of a father. And besides, this might distract Natsu long enough that he could compose himself.

"Igneel was great." Natsu grinned, hugging a pillow to his chest as he began to ramble about Igneel and how awesome he was. Gray listened intently, finding it sort of cute the way Natsu swayed back and forth as he spoke with a childish look on his face. Gray smiled softly at the pinkette as he yawned and laid his head back down on the pillows. "I-I miss him." Natsu said suddenly, trying to look as calm as possible. "Do you miss Ul a lot?" Natsu asked, rolling onto his side to watch as Gray sat up and looked down at him.

"Yes. I do miss her a lot...but what can ya do." Gray shrugged, clearing his throat a bit. "Anyway we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow...we should get some sleep." Gray mumbled, going to stand when a hand caught his wrist. Gray turned abruptly to find Natsu's face a little closer than he would have liked. A happy yet awkward smile graced the boys face as he loosened his grip on the others arm.

"Would...would you like to share? The bed I mean! With us walking around a lot tomorrow and all you wouldn't want your back to be sore...that could ruin your fighting ability and I would have to beat them all down myself." Natsu rambled, adverting his eyes from Gray's nervously. Gray bit back a retort about Erza and nodded slowly.

"I guess you have a point there...what harm could it do?" Gray shrugged, trying not to take notice of the blush which he probably sported at this moment.

"Cool." Natsu grinned, scooting over to allow Gray to sit as he turned the light off. Gray turned and faced away from Natsu as he snuggled under the covers while Natsu turned to face Gray. After about five minutes Gray's breathing slowed down and evened out, giving Natsu the impression that he was asleep. Raising his hand, the boy started near Gray's shoulders, running his fingers delicately along Gray's back as he traced 'I love you' the best he could with it being dark and all.

Natsu sighed softly, figuring this was the closest he would ever get to confessing, and pulled his hand back, readying to turn around when he felt a hand grab his retreating arm. "G-Gray?!" Natsu whisper yelled, his eyes widening in fear as he realized Gray was awake the entire time. There was no response - well, verbally - as Gray has pressed a gentle kiss the Natsu's lips, silencing him completely. Natsu gasped a bit before messily kissing back, being that he was tired and this was his first kiss, he didn't know exactly what to do. It seemed that Gray didn't know much either, but he was still a good kisser in Natsu's opinion.

When Gray pulled back he gave Natsu a close eyed smile. "I love you too, moron." Gray chuckled, full on laughing when Natsu let out a squeak of excitement and tackled Gray, snuggling into his chest. "Erm, Natsu do you plan on getting off anytime soon?" Gray asked through his laughter, raising an eyebrow.

"Nope!" Natsu said childishly, relaxing against Gray's body. 'Figured as much,' Gray thought to himself as he pulled a blanket over him and his new lover. 'I love you, idiot...'
