Justin landed in LA and immediately went over to see Katy. It was around five thirty when he arrived at the Smith household.
He knew the security code that opened the gate and the door so he was able to enter the house effortlessly. His plan was to give his mate a surprise and that, he did as he opened Katy's room without knocking. The look of shock and excitement that overtook the girl's face made him smile in amusement, opening his arms out for Katy to jump into at the same time.
"Justin! I missed you so much!" Katy gasped while her head was still buried in the crook of Justin's neck.
"I missed you too, Kitty." Justin whispered in a deep, husky voice that had Katy lifting her head to look into Justin's eyes that were slowly turning grey, capturing her in an indescribable trance.
The atmosphere felt utterly beautiful as the auras of love and longing floated around the two. Justin slowly leaned closer to Katy. When their lips gazed and her breath could be felt on his lips, his eyes turned completely grey, allowing him to mercilessly collide his lips with hers. The dancing of their lips did not seem to be enough for Justin as he then threw Katy onto her bed and continued his attack on her mouth.
His mouth then averted to her neck where he sucked, nipped, kissed and licked. It was when his canines surfaced that he froze. Realisation of what he was about to do hit him and he ripped himself off of Katy, leaving her to feel the October breeze.
"What is it?" Katy asked as she sat up, feeling worried.
"Nothing. I just- I can't do this. I need to take a shower." With that being said, Justin rubbed his hands over his face and walked into the bathroom connected to Katy's room.
--
Justin walked out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. At the sight, Katy froze and stopped breathing. Justin smirked as he realised that he, too, could take Katy's breath away. He was happy that the feeling was not one-sided.
"Breathe, baby girl. Breathe," he chuckled and then walked over to the bed with his hand securing the towel. He knew that if it were to drop, Katy would freak out. Justin leaned down to peck Katy on the nose and headed to her closet. Katy noticed his action and questioned him.
"Where are you going?"
"To your closet," he replied in a 'duh' tone.
"I see that. Why?" She was very confused.
"To get some clothes," he replied with the same tone as before.
"I know I am big but I doubt that my clothes will fit your tall and broad body."
Justin did not respond to Katy's statement as he proceeded to opening the secret compartment inside her closet. There was one in every drawer and cabinet within Katy's living space. From the hidden drawer-like opening, Justin retrieved a pair of sweatpants and a shirt.
After changing into them, he walked out of the closet and back into Katy's room.
"Whoa," was all Katy could say.
"When is your dad coming back?" Justin asked.
"Well, he left about ten minutes before you arrived so he should be here in forty five minutes tops." She answered. "I just remembered something!" Katy exclaimed, jumping off her bed.
Justin chuckled at her adorable excitement, "What did you remember?"
"It's someone's birthday next week." She walked slowly back to the bed that Justin had now laid across.
"Really? And who might that someone be?" Justin played along.
"Oh, I don't know. A certain handsome thirty year old in the room." She jumped and landed on her knees next to Justin.
"You?" He joked.
Katy narrowed her eyes at him and hit him on the arm, sitting with her legs crossed. "You, obviously."
"Of course. About that, uhm I was actually planning on visiting the Silverstone territory. You know, see what is now of it after eleven years. Would you mind coming with me?" Justin spoke, getting into a serious stance.
"Well, I do not think I can just leave. I have school and I would have to give my dad some reason." Katy said.
"Can't you say that you have a school trip?" He asked, seeming confused.
"There would have to be some type of permission letter from the school. Did you not go to high school or something?" She asked jokingly.
"No," Justin mumbled.
"No?" Katy thought she did not hear correctly or maybe her understanding was the incorrect one, hence she asked.
"No, Katy, I did not go to high school." Justin appeared to be embarrassed as his head hung low while the sentence came out of his mouth.
"I graduated from Alpha Training when I was eighteen. Most werewolves leave school around the time of high school. Werewolves with alpha blood, however, go to training." He spoke looking at nothing in particular and then laughed. Not a hearty laugh but one you would hear from a pained or broken person. It was not like Justin to appear broken or pained and that striked something inside of Katy.
"I remember the day that I came back from training. My parents could not come to my 'graduation' but they did promise that they would throw me a celebratory party so I got into my truck and drove happily. I was officially going to be made the Silverstone pack's alpha. When I arrived, the whole territory was in shreds and no one was left. For two years I was searching for my pack. I went to different packs, tried research and even went as far as being a rogue just so I could be accepted and possibly get information. When I was twenty, Genevieve showed up. My mother had arranged for us to mate before they disappeared. See, an alpha male is supposed to find his mate before he turns seventeen. When I turned eighteen and I still did not have one, my mother found Genevieve as her mate had rejected her. So she showed up and told me to stop searching, killed all the hope that I had and then seduced me."
Justin stopped talking as he felt Katy's body stiffen. He reached for her and placed her in his lap, cradling her and then continued.
"I resisted, Katy. I could not do that to you even if I had not met you yet. After three months of her encouraging me to give up, I did and then kicked her out of my life. I found a job as a waiter and started online classes. Does that count as going to high school?"
Katy laughed and shook her head 'no'.
"Well then, I graduated two years later and went to business school where I then graduated at twenty six and started what you now know as Silverstone Finances.
I remember one day while I was working as a waiter, an old woman left her Bible on the table that she was seated at. It was late and I was pretty much the only waiter left so I picked it up and ran after her. When I caught up to her she just smiled, turned around and left without her Bible. I opened it and read the words 'You have been saved through Christ Jesus' on the very first page and from that day on, my faith has been growing. And as much as I know that you are my mate, I believe that God made us for each other."Tears fell down Katy's face at the hearing of her mate's words as she held on tightly to him.
A phone vibrated, cutting the beautiful moment short. "Dad" was displayed on the screen and Katy swiped to answer.
"Hello, Katy. I am going to be a little late due to the traffic. Would you be able to start up dinner, that is if you have finished your homework?" Mr Smith spoke.
"I will most certainly be able to, dad. And also," she paused, "Justin is here. You know, Justin Silverstone."
"Oh, Mr Silverstone," He corrected. "Did he tell you what he wants?"
"Uhm yes. He came to see me. Him and I are together." At the words, the line went dead.
"Dad?" Katy spoke through the phone, receiving no response.
