Justin
I smiled as I walked through the Smith household, passing Katy's room with a smile plastered on my face as I saw her packing her bags for our upcoming trip. Her father wanted to have a 'chat' with me privately so she did not know of my presence and I would only give her that knowledge after the talk with her dad.
I knocked on the study door and heard a soft "come in" from the other side so I opened the door to enter.
"Mr Smith, good morning." I smiled at him. I was rather surprised at how he took the news of his daughter and I being together. I do have to admit that I was hoping that he would at least allow me to have some type of contact with her but he did way more than that, which worried me but also made me glad?
"Justin, son, have a seat," Mr Smith spoke with a strained voice, "I'm going to get to the point. I do not like you dating my daughter. However, I value her happiness so I will not be telling her that. I won't break her heart. But you, on the other hand, son, will not have that kind of privilege. This means that I expect you to break up with my daughter if you still want to live, Silverstone. I don't know what you are but I know that you are not an ordinary person and, quite frankly, I don't want my Katy around people such as yourself. I might have trusted you with my business finances but I'm not going to invest my daughter in your company as well. So here are your choices; you either break up with my daughter and you get to see her from a distance or, you don't break up with her and you never see her at all. You and I both know that you are not a good man so why not do Katy a favour. That's all I called to tell you, you may leave." He finished with a smirk.
At that moment, my wolf wanted to do nothing more than to take control and rip the man in front of us' throat. Reminding him that the man is our mate's father and that she'd hate us if that happened, was the only thing keeping him at bay.
"Oh and Justin, I'm coming on the trip with you. I can't wait!" Kevin said with sarcastic enthusiasm.
I exited the room with a loud bang that had Katy nosily peak out of her room. Her eyes landed on me and immediately lit up as my own softened upon seeing her.
"Justin! What are you doing here? I thought you would come a little later." She came up to hug me but my wolf was still trying to gain control so I couldn't let what happened before happen again. I made a pledge to never let my wolf near Katy again and I wasn't going against it.
"Hello, Katy. I just came to talk to your dad. Now please allow me to leave, darling." I said as calmly as I could be, without looking in her eyes.
"Oh. What did he say? He's been unusually happy today," Katy asked, reaching her hand out for mine.
"Katy please. I need to leave. I will come back at the time that I had said I would," I spoke.
"But Just-" she started to protest only for me to cut her off. "Katy Silverstone, I am begging you. I need to go but I will come back in less than three hours. I promise."
As the words came out of my mouth, I started moving towards the front door. Katy seemed frozen for a while until I felt her footsteps hitting against the floor in a fast speed signaling that she was running. Less than two seconds later I was being tackled. Before we could hit the ground, I managed to flip myself around so I could catch Katy in my arms.
"Justin, what did my father say to you? Please tell me," Katy moved herself so that her head and mine were at the same level. She turned my head to look into my eyes, calming my wolf and I instantly. This was probably evident in my eyes as Katy sighed and laid her head on my shoulder.
"Uhm. Did you just tackle me?" I asked, trying to skid away from the question.
"Well yeah. It's not like you gave me much of a choice," Katy rolled her eyes.
"Uhm. Did you just roll your eyes at me?" At this Katy rose up from my chest now straddling my waist. She folded her arms across her chest and glared at me.
"Did you just-"
"Justin if you dare finish that sentence I will cut you. Do I look like I'm playing?" Her eyes showed that she definitely was not playing but my wolf thought of her behaviour as disrespectful and he was not going to have it.
Flipping us I pinned her wrists above her head with one hand, the other one caressing her cheek.
"Do I look like I'm playing, mate?" I did not expect my voice to come out as deeply as it did but seeing her shiver and vigorously shake her head in responsive only spread the uncontrollable smirk on my face wider.
"Come on. Are you done packing? If you are, you could come with me to pack. And also, your dad is coming with us," I lifted us off the floor and dusted her butt off, although there was no dirt.
"Oh. Is that what he said to you?" I nodded and she continued, "I thought it was something more. I'd love to help you pack. Can we go now then?"
I only nodded again pulling her closer to my body and inhaling her scent. I sighed inwardly, relieved that she wasn't going to ask again.
