Katy
I had just finished telling Tumi about what happened earlier. I even told her about me and Justin, and she said she liked the idea of us together. Those words alone coming from my sister almost removed the misery that William caused.
We were getting our nails done when my phone rang. As it sat on the table, Justin's name popped up and my heart beat with excitement. I reached out to grab it with my left hand due to my right one being worked on. I pressed 'Accept' and put the phone to my ear.
"Justin. Are you okay? Where are you?" I immediately questioned.
"Katy, don't worry. I'm okay, sweetheart. Where are YOU? I went to the house but nobody was there. Now I'm just grabbing some food for us. Are you okay?" He is so thoughtful.
"I'm okay and I'm at Rachel's House. That pink salon on Victoria Avenue." I answered his questions. "Oh. That's not too far from where I am so can I pick you up? We could go to the park and talk for awhile." He said, sounding nervous which had me worried because he rarely gets nervous.
"Yea, of course. I'm almost done anyway." I replied.
"Okay. Bye," he said. I gave a soft 'bye' too but did not hang up. He didn't either so I just had the phone stuck to my ear listening to my mate take slow harsh breaths in and out.
"I love you, Katy, you do know that right?" He spoke up after some time causing my heart beat to quicken. I couldn't speak due to the rate of my heart so I only nodded only to realize that he wouldn't be able to see me.
"Yes. I know that, Justin." I finally said.
--
"Hey!" Justin jumped out of his car, jogging over to me. He opened up his arms and engulfed me into a huge, warm hug.
"I'm so sorry I just ran out like that. I don't even know why I did that. I guess my wolf just needed to go for a run," he said.
"It's okay, Justin. I understand," pulling away from him, I twirled-hopping on one leg- with my hands high enough for him to see. "So how do I look?"
"Absolutely stunning, gorgeous and perfect." Justin smiled and leaned in but when he realized that we were in public, he pulled back again. I was slightly hurt but I understood.
"I thought we could go to the forest instead of the park." We started walking when Justin paused, "Wait-- have you paid for your hair and nails yet?"
"Oh goodness. I almost forgot," I said and Justin raised his brow. I huffed, "Okay, let me rephrase: I forgot." He smiled victoriously and walked to the counter, pulling out his wallet and then a couple notes while I was still walking over to him. I saw him point towards my direction and the woman behind the counter nodding as she took the money.
When I finally got there, the woman smiled and said, "Thank you. Have a nice day!" I clenched my jaw as I thought of how I just put all the energy I had into walking to that counter and when I get there, they're done!
In the corner of my eye I saw my beloved, Justin, stifling a laugh and I could have just slapped him at that moment.
"Come on, let's go greet Tumi and her mom." Justin walked slower this time as we approached the two light skinned ladies.
"Afternoon, ma'am. I'm Justin, Katy's friend. It's nice meeting you," Justin put all his playfulness away as he introduced himself to Tumi's mom.
"Well hello, handsome. I'm Tina. It's quite nice meeting you too." She said making Tumi and I face palm ourselves simultaneously.
