Chapter 24

The last minute barbecue was exactly what Katy had always dreamt of. She had loved her small intimate family of three but she often wished it were bigger so having the whole Silverstone pack present to celebrate the possibility of having their initial future Alpha back was a dream come true.

Katy received a huge amount of hugs as she took in the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by all the pack members mingling with each other and the new addition, their future Luna.

There seemed to be, however, a negative aura that could only be felt by Justin. Something more than just a gut feeling. It was something that he had felt before. A space of his mind telling him that a strange and mostly unwanted event would occur.

The first time he felt this way, he was able to just shrug it off but now that he had a mate, he absolutely could not. He would not bear to have the young girl in any sort of discomfort, let alone any pain so he headed off to find her in the of werewolves, her scent leading him to exactly where she was.

He found Katy cutting an enormous piece of cake while shaking her bottom to the rhythm of the song that played. The sight caused Justin to guffaw loudly, which gained him some amused stares from the crowd and a turn around from the girl of the scene.

When he was finally able to catch his breath, he smiled widely at Katy and held onto her sides.

"I did not know I had such a good booty-shaker of a mate," he spoke to which his smile turned to a smirk.

"Haha, you got jokes," Katy stated while rolling her eyes.

"Uh-uh, you did not just roll your eyes at me. Tell me you didn't," Justin turned serious and gave Katy a hard look.

As the girl was about to roll her eyes again, she caught sight of Justin's slowly raising brow and she stopped mid-roll to apologise. Forgiveness was then granted to her to which she immediately gave a hug to the granter.

"I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be back," Katy excused herself.

"Do you want me to go with you? I don't mind."

"I'll be fine. You don't need to. I'll use the one in your room," she ended the conversation and lead her way into the house.

A noise that seemed like the banging of drawers coming from the kitchen, knocked Katy from out of her heavy thoughts. She changed her direction to one that would get her to the kitchen.

"Uhm hello. Sir?" She began her attempts to receive thr attention of the man that she found in the kitchen, crazily opening and closing drawers as if he had lost something- possibly his mind.

"Excuse me, mister!" She bellowed getting the man to an abrupt stand. The man had a confused look on his face as he began to look around- again, for his mind.

As much as Katy found the scene amusing, she felt that she needed to pull the man out of his misery. She, therefore, walked over to him, placed his head in between her hands and yelled, "Sir! What are you looking for?"

"You don't need to shout!" He retorted back with a loud voice, having Katy laugh as a response and release his head from her palms. "You're Katy, right? Justin's mate?"

The question still brought a sense of shyness to Katy even after hearing it at least fifteen times before. She nodded her head and moved away from the man to lean against the counter.

"I'm Fleance, Justin's older brother. I bet you've heard a lot about me already," the man introduced himself. 

The shyness that Katy felt before had seemed to have increased as embarrassment also mixed into her being. She had never heard of the name from her mate nor had she known that her mate had a brother so she did not know how to reply.

"I actually have not heard about you. I'm really sorry."

"Oh nonsense. Don't be sorry. It's your mates fault for not telling his young beautiful mate about me. Probably afraid of all the things I could do to you," Fleance spoke having his voice lower than a whisper as he approached the last line.

"I'm sorry, what? I couldn't catch the last thing you said," Katy said politely.

"Oh no, it's nothing. I said nothing. Were you heading somewhere? The bathroom, maybe? I could accompany you. We never know what kind of creeps are waiting for you in there," Fleance offered causing concern to rise inside of her. The man was beginning to sound creepy and although he amused her at first, she couldn't even find strength inside of herself to force a smile at that moment.

"I insist. Let's get you to the bathroom. Is it not just great how we already feel like brother and sister? Well, in-law, that is but it makes no difference."

The man grabbed Katy's wrist harshly and led them to Justin's room. Katy tried to find ways to escape the crazy man as he sang a nursery rhyme. The attempt seemed to be pointless due to the tight grip on her arm that began to hurt.  

"Now don't be shy, little girl. I'm a kindergarten teacher and sometimes the little girlies like you don't want to go potty all alone so I watch over them. I've seen everything so don't worry, okay?" He set her wrist free when they reached the bathroom. Katy caught the man locking the door and her panic increased.

"Oh I think I'm good. I don't need to pee so we can go back to the barbecue. Thank you," she forced out which made Fleance mad.

"I don't remember it being an option so strip and go potty before I make you. And if you're thinking about escaping, your sweetheart of a mate had the windows barred because apparently nobody is coming in unless he says so. Well nobody is going out unless I say so."

Katy glanced at the windows which confirmed Fleance's statement. "Justin! Justin, help me! Justin!" Katy yelled making the psychopathic man laugh hard.

"You are so funny, Katy. Did you forget that the walls in this house are soundproof. His precious eyes with supernatural hearing will not hear you. Now if you do that again, I will cut your tongue off, you hear me?"

Katy found the man extremely close to her as a sharp and cold metal object graced the skin near her private area making her subconsciously release all the fluid that she was holding in.

"I told you to pee on the toilet, Katy. Do I need to train you?" The man said as he pressed himself on her.

At that moment, Katy closed her eyes and prayed to the Lord as Fleance continued his actions on her body. She was no longer afraid of what Fleance would do to her. She just prayed that God would save her and at that, the sound of a breaking door and a loud growl was heard.

Justin.

I'm really sorry for disappearing like that on you guys. I just could not write anything good for some reason.

I'll be ending this book here for now and I hope I'll have the sequel up soon. Please don't be mad if I don't.

This whole scene where Fleance was about to rape Katy is just, I guess, a type of representation of all the rape and murder crimes that have been happening and Justin arriving is just me saying that our Saving Grace is going to come soon to take us out of our misery so we shouldn't give up.
