I stood there, shocked. Katelyn looked at me and gave me a heavy sigh.
"Why did you take me here?" I asked her. She laughed a bit, not a happy one either.
"I took you here because, well, you deserve to know my past. I don't really share this part of my life with anyone other than Nicole, Jeffery, and my family. I can already tell that you'll be a good friend of mine, and you would have seen this sooner or later," Katelyn replied. She stood up and grabbed my hand.
I gave her a confused look, though she ignored it. She pointed up through the leaves. A star shot by. I watched curiously, as her face lit up with happiness.
The way she lit up, was the way that I had always wanted to see her look.
There's something so strange about seeing someone who is truly sad, smile genuinely.
It's a good feeling.
I get that vibe from Katelyn, and that scares me, a lot.
