Thank you so much @ocaens for the idea! :)

Harry

I was seated on the couch, scrolling through my phone as I waited for Ariana to come back from her studio recording. It was the day before Christmas, that meant the weather was freezing outside and all I wanted to do was have her here next to me , drinking hot chocolate and watching Christmas movies that I know she likes to watch every Christmas.

I got a notification that she posted, my finger quickly tapping to see.

She looked beautiful, nothing unusual

She looked beautiful, nothing unusual.

It was her with her cute little outfit she picked out this morning. I couldn't help but smile that she borrowed my jacket, I didn't mind and I would never mind. She looks a lot better in it than me, she could have my whole closet if she wanted to so I could see her in my clothes every day.

I scrolled farther down her Instagram, finding myself intrigued with all the little things she posts on her page. From the posts about the millions of dogs she brought home for us to parent to silly memes she posts late at night when we stalk fan accounts in bed.

A buzz had me putting my phone down, it was from Ariana's phone. I shook my head, that girl is so forgetful when she's excited and in a rush. She was practically jumping up and down in glee when she heard that she was needed in the studio to record a special treat for her fans.

I reached for the phone, seeing a text notification on the screen.

Mummy💜

I think it's such a cute gift, Ariel. I know for sure Harry would love it! :)

I smiled at the nickname her mother gave her ever since she had dyed her hair red a few years ago. My attention switched to what her mother said, a "gift?" I didn't expect her to get me something, she knows that just having her here with me was enough for the holidays. But then again, this is Ari we're talking about, of course she got me something with her big 'ol heart.

I stood up from the couch, feet padding against the wood planks as I walked to the bedroom. Along the way, my eyes searched for that lil gift she had that she was probably hiding from me. I got her something as well, but she won't be surprised, she knows how much I love to spoil my girl.

"Where is it? Hmm.." I hummed, my hands continuously opening and closing drawers. I tapped on my chin, crossing my arms and stopping to think where this girl would hide it.

An idea came to mind after a few minutes of thinking.

It's probably in the shoebox she always keeps under the bed. That's it!

I quickly reached under the bed, throwing the lid off and finding a long, blue little box. I furrowed my eyebrows, about to take off the top when I hear Ariana's voice from the front door.

"Shit." I glance at the box in my hands, pondering what I should do.

Keep it for now? Put it back?

"Harry?" I hear her ask, the door opening right as I hide the item behind my back.

"Oh hey babe. Back already?" I mentally cursed at myself when I see her furrow her eyebrows at my question.

She always reminded me of how bad of a liar I am, but I'm not. She somehow just always sees right through me, I love and hate it.

"Umm, yea. What's wrong with you?" She steps closer, looking at my hands that are shielded away from her view.

"What are you talking about, I'm normal?" I raise my eyebrows, hoping she'll just drop it.

"Alright, if you say so..I'm going to go make dinner, so be right back." She goes on her tippy toes as I lean down when she leans in for a kiss, but right when our lips connect she snatched the box from my hands and shouts,"Ahah! You were hiding something from me-" she stops when she realizes what I had.

"Oh, you found my present." I instantly feel bad and guilty for snooping and being so impatient when I see the disappointment on her face and in her voice.

"I-I didn't open it. I just saw the text from your mom and she mentioned something about my gift." I step closer, placing my hands on her shoulders.

"Well, I guess I can just give you your present a week early." She sighs, slowly handing me it.

I hesitantly open it, to find a red ribbon and a ring inside.

I furrow my eyebrows and question what the ribbon is for, when it comes to me. I look up in surprise and see a little smile playing on her lips while she looks at the two items inside.

"It's the ring you asked if I liked on our first date." She smiled, nodding at my statement.

She reached for the ribbon, taking it out and holding it.

"This is the ribbon you gave me on our first date, you said how I always wore ribbons in my hair and I laughed and pointed at your wrist, saying,"Look you got one right there!" And then you untied it from your wrist and tied it in my hair and said I looked like a doll." She giggled, reaching towards my wrist to tie it around it.

"You said that you always wore it, but that I look really good with it on so I could keep it. Now, i want you to have it back." She smiled up at me, and I couldn't help but laugh at how corny she won't admit she is.

"And this the ring you asked if I liked, and then I said it'd look better on you, but you just kept denying that it would." I chuckled, putting the ring on and admiring it.

"You always outdo yourself, Ariana." I smile down at the ring, looking back up at the wide grin on her face that always managed to make my knees go weak.

Before she could speak, I pulled her into me, holding her by the neck as I kissed her to show my gratitude and love for her.

"Mm, I love you." I caressed my thumb over her tinted cheek, peppering kisses on her forehead as I hear the delightful sound of her giggle.

"I love you." She smiles, showing me those bright chocolate eyes I just love to stare into.

As I lean my forehead against hers, I smirk as she laughs at whatever it was I was thinking,"What?"
She ponders, as I shake my head and look back up to her.

"Now I have to get you something 10x times better." She shakes her head, eyebrows furrowed as she pulls away.

"Hazz, you know you don't have to. I'm content just having you here to spend the holidays with me." She crosses her arms, smiling but I shake my head.

"Make that 20x better." As I pull her back into me, I pick her up by the hips as she squeals in surprise yet wraps her legs around my waist.

"How 'bout I start now." I mumble against her lips, her arms wrapping around my neck as I squeeze her hips while walking upstairs to our bedroom.
