Song for imagine: In the Embers by Sleeping At Last

{Ariana is not famous in this}

Ariana silently combed her hair, sticking her book into her traveling bag. She zipped it up and slinged it over her shoulder, taking her phone from her nightstand and placing it into her back pocket. With one look back at the room, she turned around and proceeded to walk downstairs.

Halfway there, Harry stopped her, asking where she was going.

She responded with,"I'm just going to the café down the street."

She looked down at her white shoes, her light brown hair swaying as she went to turned around again.

"You can't go alone, you'll get mobbed. I'll go with you." He smiled, taking her hand and entwining their fingers, but Ariana rejected his offer.

"Ariana, you're not going alone." He furrowed his eyebrows, stopping her again at the entrance.

"I'm not going to get mobbed, Harry. You're the famous one remember, I'll be fine." She shook her head. Before she can even reach the door knob, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him.

His hands landed on her waist.

"Ariana, I know you're getting upset with me. And I also know that it's not just for me not letting you go alone."

Ariana kept a straight face, shaking her head and looking down at the ground. She wanted to say something, but she was too weak for it.

"Talk to me, kitten." He placed a loose strand of her long hair behind her ear, lifting her chin up so that she was looking at him directly in his eyes.

"Ok. It may sound stupid, for me worrying about this, but I'll tell you the truth." Her hand shakily placed her bag on the couch, sitting down in a cross-cross position.

Harry soon followed, sitting next to her and placing her on his lap.

"It's not stupid if it's getting you worked up like this, you can tell me anything Ariana." He tried calming her down by kissing her knuckles, playing with her fingers as she took a second to regain her thoughts and process what she was going to confess.

"I'm scared."

"Of what?" He looked up at her.

"Of us. I don't know, it's not that I'm insecure about myself or anything, how could I when I have someone like you who reminds me how beautiful I am everyday." Harry's lips twitch up in a smile, pulling her closer to him and placing a kiss on her nose.

"It's just that. You're always on tour, and I know you can't control it, you know I'm 100% all for you making your dream a reality because I know how much you love singing. It's just that I'm scared that one day it's all going to go downhill. I feel like everything is going to get too much for us to handle and we'll just settle with breaking up. I don't want that Harry. You're my first serious relationship, and I don't want you or me to end up broken at the end of this. We're getting too close and it scares me this will just end up badly in the end. Especially because I know I won't be able to handle being away from you, because I-I love you." There was a comfortable silence between the two, and Ariana was growing worried that she said the wrong thing.

Before she was going to get off his lap and walk away, he placed his hands on her cheeks and pulled her in for a long, passionate kiss.

After a while, they pulled away to regain their breathing, him leaning in for one last peck.

"Don't be scared, I love you too. Probably more. And I would never let you go, I could never actually let go of the most important person in my life. You mean everything to me and although we've only been dating for almost a year now, you'll always have a place in my heart. You're my world, kitten." He leaned his forehead against hers, giggling at the sight of her shy smile and her arms wrapping around his neck.

"You're so cute." He kissed her nose against, then her forehead, then her cheeks, and then her lips again, earning a giggle from Ariana.

"I know." Ariana smiled along with Harry, his hands squeezing her waist.

Harry pulled her body closer to his, so that their chests were touching and he was squishing her with his arms in a comforting hug.

Ariana scrunched her nose up at his actions.

"Too close."

"Oh shut up, you love it." He flashed her a cheeky grin, making her chuckle because it was true. They shared one last kiss before heading up stairs for quality time with each other.
