Song for series: It's Okay by Tom Rosenthal

Harry was sat at the kitchen table, helping his 6 year old son, Tyler, with his homework. Ariana was calmly washing the dishes, when they heard the door bell ring. Harry smiled at up at her, whilst she just chuckled. "Don't worry, I'll get it."

As she walked over to the door, she couldn't help but let out a happy sigh. She had everything she ever wanted. Not only was she living her dream, but she got to share it with the love of her life, with the man that made her feel beautiful every night, that made her feel butterflies when he would kiss her or simply hold her hand, the man who made sure she was always feeling positive about herself, the man who would drop everything and stop what he was doing if she was hurt, who reminded his love for her and their son, the man who made her world brighter everyday. She shook her head, feeling all sappy today, but she couldn't help it, she loved him way too much not to blush and feel all giddy inside just by the thought of him.

Letting her thoughts drift back to reality, she went over to the door, opening it to reveal the pouring rain to soak her close friend, Maria, holding a suitcase.

Maria was a friend she met through high school, and they were attached by the hip ever since. Whenever she was feeling negative or under the weather, she would be there to comfort her and calm her down. She was thankful to have her and thankful that they had stayed friends after high school. Sure they got into a few small fights before, but they always made up and eventually forgot about it. However, they hadn't talked much since a few years, and so it was quite the shock to see her show up out of the blue.

She stepped closer, examining her shivering body and drenched clothes, although that wasn't what made her furrow her eyebrows. Maria was crying, the tears blending with the raindrops that were falling.

"My dad kicked me out, he said that I needed to get a real job and career, or move out. I applied for many, but I didn't get a single one."

Ariana felt sympathy for Maria, as she embraced her in a hug. Maria was always there for her, so with no doubt, she would do the exact same for her. "Get in here, it's soaking out there." she pulled her in, and closed the door shut, helping her getting her coat off.

"We have a spare bedroom upstairs, you could stay here for as long as you need." Ariana took her suitcase, holding it with both her arms.

"We?" she asked, curiosity roaming around her mind.

"Yea, come meet my husband. He's in the kitchen." She responded, happily pulling her towards the kitchen. "Harry, meet my friend. She doesn't have anywhere to stay, so she'll be staying here as long as she needs." she went back to clean the dishes, as she awaited for the two to actually communicate.

"Harry." he flashed her a smile with deep dimples, as he put out it his hand for her to shake.

She straightened out the small wrinkles from the dress that stopped right above the knee.

"Maria." she shyly took his hand, and gently shook it. She liked the warmth that formed when both of their hands touched, but she knew she would have to let go. Harry smiled one more time, before turning around to continue with their son's coloring assignment.

With that, she announced that she was going to unpack her stuff upstairs.

Everyone came back downstairs to have dinner. They all sat down at the dinner table, as Harry offered to pour mashed potatoes on Ariana's plate, but she kindly refused. She motioned for him to offer some to Maria instead, who was quietly playing with her food. She wanted her to feel right at home instead of uncomfortable and awkward.

He offered her some, as she nodded at his question and smiled at the kind gesture. He finished adding the mashed potatoes on her plate, placing the plate of the food back down.

Maria kept staring at Harry, who seemed to not notice. She couldn't help but let her feelings expand for him. Who wouldn't fall for him? He's got everything a girl would want. She felt guilty that she was actually trying to turn this into something, him and her. Yet, she knew she couldn't control who she felt an attraction to. She placed her bare foot on his, smoothly rubbing it. Harry slowly looked up, to see a small, shy smile playing on her lips. He gulped, before looking at Ariana and back to Maria. Sure, he thought she was pretty, but that didn't compare to his wife's beauty. Ariana didn't see anything going on, for she was helping Tyler to eat his food. Harry shook his head slightly, knowing he wouldn't do that to her, but then again, she wouldn't know what he was about to do, so why not? Harry smiled back at her, placing his other foot on top of hers, softly caressing hers.

They continued to do so throughout the dinner, without Ariana knowing.

The following morning came and Ariana was outside, saying her goodbye to Tyler, since the school bus was here for him, and she had to go to work. She gave up her singing career after she had Tyler, it would be too much for him having two celebrity parents. So, instead, she worked as an accountant. Harry didnt want to end One Direction, neither did the boys, they wouldn't want to hurt their fans. They stayed together as a band, still growing stronger than ever, but right now they have a one year vacation to relax from everything that the popularity and fame brought along.

In the meantime, Harry and Maria had the house to themselves. Harry was walking around the house, not knowing what to do, until he spotted Maria. Memories from last night's dinner came into both of their minds, making them feel a pull towards each other. She was holding a cup of tea, just sitting on the couch. Harry thought it wouldn't hurt if they had an innocent conversation, so he walked over to her.

Maria stood up when she noticed Harry, walking past him to turn the television on. But, while doing so, she bumped into him, spilling the tea on his shirt. She gasped and apologized, grabbing a small towel to wipe it off.

She looked up, as Harry was staring intently down at her. They just stood there, looking at each other for quite the time. Until, Maria reached up slowly, connecting their lips together. It went from there, as they shed off one piece of clothing at a time.

Later, Ariana came back, to find them sat on the table, as Tyler had already arrived and they were teaching him new words.

The next day Ariana left work early, so she happily made her way to the door. She was confused as to why she found Maria's heels and Harry's shoes in front of the door. Someone could have seriously stolen these. She went inside, to find no one in the living room. She heard noise upstairs, so she put her stuff and their shoes down, and went up to search for them.

She stopped in front of Maria's room. She found Harry's pants, and Maria's shorts scattered on the ground. It didn't trigger her, until she found a pink bra under Maria's shorts. The worst situations immediately took over her head and it made her want to crawl up in a ball and cry for eternity. Tears welled up in her eyes, as she looked at the mess of clothing on the floor. Tears streamed down her face repeatedly, as she heard moans coming from inside the room. She whimpered, she could practically hear her heart breaking. She picked up the pants, clutching them to her chest, as she let the tears escape freely.

Never in a million years would she have thought that Harry and her best friend could do someone as terrible as this to her. It broke her knowing the two people she trusted were going behind her back and doing something that was as horrible as this. Sure, they didn't kill anyone, but cheating hurt her tremendously and she knew that they knew how much it would affect her if she found out.

She put her hand on the doorknob, turning it slightly so it could open. About to open it, she heard Tyler's little voice. "Mom, I'm home!" she turned to find him smiling, holding out a flower for her. Ariana let go of the pants, and went to hug him tightly.

She quickly wiped her eyes, not wanting her little bundle of joy see her in her current state. If she was going to be strong for anyone, it would mainly be for her son. She would much rather spend time with her son than experience anymore of the sorrow she was currently feeling. Well, she was going to try her best.

She knew they couldn't be trusted alone anymore.
