CHAPTER 1: Alexs'

Before You Read:

Count Dracula had a brother named Alec who was just as evil as his brother, but not as strong. Alec was killed by his brother by accident. Since he is a vampire he didn't completely die, instead he came back to life, but turned good. Alec met a human who he fell in love with. That human's name was Elizabeth. Together Alec and Elizabeth had a set of twins, a boy named Alexander and a girl named Alexandra born in 1001bc. Elizabeth turned into a vampire the moment she gave herself to Alec. Since Alec was evil then turned good after his "reincarnation", his son was born the color of Darkness and his daughter was born the color of Light. Count Dracula, as many know, was killed by Van Helsing and so his brother Alec became the King of all vampires and Elizabeth was Queen. When Alexandra and Alexander were born, the entire vampire clan was split into two groups, the Light Clan and the Dark Clan. The Dark Clan is for the vampires who have more than 50% evil in their aura and the Light Clan is for the other vampire's left. When Alec dies, Alexander will be King of the Dark Clan and Alexandra the Queen of the Light Clan. Both Alex's stopped aging at the human age of 19. This is the story of Alexander and Alexandra.

Alexandra's POV

"Alex, get out of the bed now!" I yelled at my twin brother. "Okay Lexi, don't get your tongue twisted in your fangs again!" He yells back from upstairs. I chuckled. I just can't stay mad at him. No one could because he is so dang charming you know, with dark black hair and his eyes as well, only that they make you feel calm instead of having the feeling of being swallowed whole. He's a little taller than 6 feet and is lean, but muscular at the same time. Very charming indeed.

He reaches the bottom step and sighs. "What's up now?" He asks. "You now we have to get married today with our arranged mates. I don't know why you even ask." I say. He sighs again. "What if I dont like the mate that father chose for me? I want to be with someone I love." He says. I just look at him and smile. I agree with him but I can't say anything because it's not up to me, it's up to our father. "Just get ready, okay!" I yell at him from the second floor.

I was heading to my room to get ready as well. I entered my room and looked at the dress my mother picked out for me. It's an elegant white dress with pearls in the chest area and also going down the left side of it. I sigh then walk to the mirror and see my reflection.

From all the theories humans have of us, one of the things they have wrong is that we can see ourselves in mirrors. I look at my pale skin and just as pale hair. Then I see my eyes, my electric blue eyes. I have my mothers eyes.

Then something strange happened. My eye reflection had a wolf in it running by, then as quick as it came that's how quickly it was gone. I stared for a couple of seconds longer, then shook my head and finished getting ready.

As I was walking down stairs, I saw Alex and he looked amazing in his tux. The tie he had on made his eyes lighter, almost a honey color. "Wow Lexi, you look amazing!" He said once he saw me. "As do you Alex." I said back to him. "Well, lets get this over with." We both said at the same time. We walked down the ceremonial hall where we would be married and our mates were waiting with our father at the end of the walkway. "Good you are here. Hurry up my Alexs' so I can introduce you to your mates." Father said. So me and Alex hurried down towards them. "Alex, this is Jazmin and she will be for you as you will be for her." He said to my brother. "And Lexi, this is Ivan, and he will be for you as you will be for him." He said turning towards me. "Well, now that you have meet each other I will start with the ancient ritual and then you will each exchange your blood with your mates." He said.

As he was saying the ancient ritual from the book, me and my brother were having our own little chat in our minds. You see that's the beauty of being vampire twin's, we can communicate with each other in our minds. "Lexi, I don't want to go through with this." He said to me. "Neither do I brother, but we have to in order to keep our place as Prince and Princess." I said back to him.

At that moment our father was just finishing the last sentence of the ritual when it was time for the exchanging of blood. To exchange blood we have to bite our mate in the neck and suck for 3 seconds. Once the exchange is finished then we are forever bond with our mates. The boys went first. "Oh, I hope this doesn't hurt!" I channeled to my brother. He just chuckled at me.

Then just when my mate was half an inch away from my neck, I bend forward as a loud scream filled my ears. I was the only one that heard it so I automatically channeled it to my brother because the pain was too much for me and he also bend forward in pain at the scream. Only one word was said. "NOOOO!" When it was over, I looked up and saw Alex staring at me.

I had the sudden urge to go back up to my room and get all my stuff and leave the house and that scream had something to do with it. I must have thought about it too long because at that moment Alex grabbed my hand and we started running towards our room leaving our intended mates and father looking at us with a puzzling look on their face's. Once we were upstairs, Alex said, "Get all your things and meet me in the front door in 10 minutes."

Without thinking I did what he said.
