CHAPTER 12: Their Return and the Book

Alex's POV

I had spent the whole day with Ella again. Ha! Like if that was suppose to change. She had just told me that Shadow told her through the wolf mind thingy, that Shadow already showed Lexi, baby Taven. I am so happy because I know that she would love him. Ella also said that Shadow was going to say something important to both Were clans during the "Return Party" as they so call it, so I'm kind of nervous.

"Hey babe?" I said and she nodded in acknowledgement so I continued. ",am I suppose to feel nervous about what Shadow is going to say?" I asked her. "No, I don't think so. He just said it was important." She answered but that didn't make me feel better. "So where are the other Were's?" I asked trying to change the subject to distract myself. "They should be here any minute." She said. "Let's go stand by Shadow and your sister, okay?" She said and pulled me towards them.

Lexi's POV

He had just arrived by the river, where the other male Were would be coming from and I say Ella and Alex walking towards us. Shadow has his arms around me and the female's were looking at me funny which made me uncomfortable but only made Shadow tighten his grip around my waist. I looked up at him and gave him a small smile. At that point Alex and Ella had just reached us. "Hey you guy's, having fun?" Ella asked while giving me a hug. "Yup, just waiting for the party to start up." I answered her while turning to Alex and giving him a hug. "What about you guy's? I heard that Alex and you'r clan have a good relationship, well at least compared to mine." I asked, saying the last part with annoyance. "Ha ha! Don't worry Lexi the clans will accept you and Alex. Plus if they don't well sucks eggs for them." She said and I couldn't help but laugh at her choice of words.

At that point the female's started to sing the most beautiful song I had ever heard. "What are they saying, night?" I asked. "Well, my love, that is a special song that is sung by Were's when they have been gone for so long. The song is only known to Were's because it was made by my great, great, grandfather, the first Alpha." He said. "Oh, but wait, that doesn't make sense because that means it wasn't that long ago if your great, great, grandfather was the first Alpha, right?" I asked seeing that werewolves and vampire's have been "alive" for about 2400 years. "Well no, because Were's age differently, but that is something we can talk about in another date." He said ending our conversation. I just turned towards the female singers and let myself be carried away by the song.

Ella's POV

The usual song. I love it! I would love to sing it but without losing my mate for so long of coarse.

"Do you see anyone because I can't." I said. Everyone was taller than me so it was hard to see. "Yup, the females are running to meet their mates. Just hold on a few minutes." Alex said. Then I felt something in between my legs and I couldn't help but yell. I looked down and saw Alex's head. He was trying to pick me up on his shoulder and I started to laugh. "Hold on." He said. Then I was on top of his shoulders and I gave him a thanks before turning to see the reunion. What I saw was unbelievable. She-wolves running along their mates while the males were all in their wolf forms. So of the smaller kids were in their wolf form and their mothers were carrying them to meet with their husband. Some she-wolves also turned into their wolf form and were hugging and playing with their mates. The only people that were not running to get to their mates were the four of us, the much to younger Were's and the much to older Were's that couldn't or didn't participate in the 3-game's.

I heard Lexi awwing and oohing so I looked down. "Isn't that beautiful? I wish that we could do that! But you know, i wouldn't last one hour without Alex." I said to her and Alex squeezed my hand. I smiled down at him. "I love you so much babe." He said up to me. "Me too baby, me too." I returned my love then I heard a huge growl and immediately knew who it was. Drake!
