CHAPTER 16: Meet my Second in Command

Alex's POV

"Lexi, get out off your room now!" I yelled at my twin sister. Ha! Wow dejavu much?! I had been waiting for over 20 minutes and still she was not ready. "I am almost done." She yelled back at me. "What can you possibly be needing now? We can't take alot of things anyway, we are on a mission. There will be no time for you to put on fine dresses and make-up where we are going!" I yelled back. Women, can't live with them, can't live without them I always say.

I heard her walking down the stairs. "Okay Alex, don't get your tongue twisted in your fangs again!" She yelled at me with sarcasm and mockery. Again that damn dejavu! I smirked at her. "Well come on then, Shadow and Ella will be here any second." I said waving here down to the living room. We both sat down close to the door and we waited anxiously for someone to knock on the door.

After what seemed like forever, the knock finally came. I got up and opened the door and Lexi got up as well. Shadow was standing outside and Ella jjust behind him. "Are you guys ready?" He asked and both me and Lexi said yes at the same time. We stepped out and I walked over to Ella. Lexi did the same with Shadow. "I left my beta in charge while we are gone. You guys remember right, he was the wolf with me the first time I meet you." Shadow said and we all nodded. "Umm, yeah I have to go and tell my beta too." Ella said. "Okay we will come with you." I told her but she looked really nervous. I gave her a confused look and she started to walk pulling me with her. Shadow and Lexi followed us.

"Alex please don't be mad okay." Ella said and again I gave her my confused look. I turned towards Lexi and Shadow. "What?" I asked and Shadow just shook his head. He whispered something in LExi's ear and I think I heard him say something about a fight about to start. I was really confused now. "Ella what is going on?" I asked. "You will see. Let me call my beta." And with that she closed her eyes to communicate with her beta.

I heard someone approaching and I turned around. I heard a growl and I knew who it was. I hissed back.

Lexi's POV

"This will turn into a fight." Shadow whispered in my ear. When Ella was done calling her beta, I smelled who it was and I knew for sure that Shadow was right. This WILL turn into a fight.

"Alex please look at me. Come next to me." Ella said to Alex and he did but not before hissing again. "You called, Ella?" Drake said with a smirk on his face. "First off, wipe that smirk off your face and second I need you to do you duties as my second in command." Ella told him with anger in her voice. Drake looked down and nodded. "May I ask where you are going?" He said towards Ella without looking at Alex who was right next to her. I heard him hiss but no one seem to have heard it. "That is not your business. It has nothing to do with you but I will be away for a couple of weeks so I need you to do your job." Ella answered. "And you are going to go with HIM! I won't let you do that! Ella please see reason! You have to be with me. I know you are my mate! You are just being hypnotized by the leech!" Drake said with venom fall al over his words.

Everything moved so fast yet so slow. One moment Alex was right next to Ella the next, he was attacking Drake. This was not going to be a good departure.
