CHAPTER 3: Shadow and the Naked Men

Alexandra's POV

When I saw him turn into his human form, I wasn't scared. In fact quite the opposite. He was really attractive and I wanted to be close to him, I just had to be close to him, no not had, I NEEDED to be close to him. "Hello Shadow, would you and your friend like to come in to rest and maybe eat something?" I said. He looked at me in an surprised way and I quickly stated, "We do have human food, we can also eat it without it hurting us."

He thought about it and looked at his companion then said yes. His voice was so heavily marked with lust, that I couldn't help but give a small gasp when he said yes. We went inside and immediately I started to make food while my brother and the wolves were talking.

Alexander's POV

I don't understand Lexi. Why did she have to invite them in. Now I have to TALK to them. Shadow looks at my sister every time he thinks I'm not looking at him. What does he want with her anyway?

"So, Shadow why are you here in this part of the woods?" I asked to start the conversation. He chuckled and said "A friend of mine owns this part of the forest and I am also in the same pack as he is so I was sent to watch out for any trespassers." He replied. When he said that a "friend of his" owned this part of the forest, his companion looked at him and then stared at the floor while moving in the sofa. I don't know but something is weird about him.

Shadow's POV

Huh. I'm confused. Whats wrong with me? I can't seem to stop staring at Alexandra. This can't be happening to me. I have to leave now! At that moment she walks in the living room and says that lunch is ready. "No, we have to go now." I said. "But you just got here" she replied. "I said no! I'm sorry but we need to leave. Lets go Matt." I couldn't help it, she got me so mad! Matt started to say something about my manners and how they were only being polite but I wasn't paying attention to him. My mind was stuck on her. Why her, whats so special about her?

Alexandra's POV

What was his problem, we were just being polite. If I ever see him again, which I hope I do, I will demand for an explanation. "Well that was rude of him." Me and Alex said at the same time. "There's something weird about him Lexi, but I can't but my finger on it. Did you feel the same way?" He asked. I just looked at him and sighed then said that he should come and eat. While we were eating, only one thing was on my mind. Shadow.

Shadow's POV

I should send someone to figure out more about them. I can't just let them stay, they can be plotting to kill us all now that they know we are here. But I don't think a creature like her can even think about hurting even an ant. But just in case I will send someone.

Alexander's POV

Shadow sent someone to see what we were up to and I was furious! How can he think us a treat when we have been here for so long and no party knew about the other? I told those pups that we would stay and one of them said that the only way for us to stay was that we made a treaty with them. Can you believe it? Alexandra said, "With whom do we have to make this treaty? I presume it should be with your Alpha, am I right?"

"Yes miss, you are correct." The darker colored wolf replied. "Fair enough then, we shall go and see your Alpha to make the treaty." She answered. We were making our way through Dear Forest when my sister started asking about Shadow.

I have a pretty bad feeling that something is up with Shadow and my sister. Shadow was friendly at first, but then was completely rude. I don't fancy him much, actually not at all.

"Okay, we are here. This is the center of our leaders territory." The lighter wolf said. Me and Lexi just looked at one another. All the males that were there, were completely naked! Most of them were with there mates and they were publicly show their affection for one another. I heard Lexi gasp behind me and I turned around to see her close her eyes as a much young wolf transformed into his human form, but didn't have any clothes on which I just realized that Shadow did have clothes on when he turned into his human form. I took hold of Lexi's hand and I guided her. We followed the two wolves to the front of a house that was made of wood and they told us to wait outside while they went into to tell their Alpha about our presence.

Shadow's POV

I was pacing my room thinking about Alexandra when my two spies came in to tell me that the Vamps were waiting outside to speak to me. I told my boys that they should stay out side for now. The pups told me about how the Vamps would not leave so they had to make treaty with the wolf Alpha in order to stay and I started to think up a treaty. Then it hit me.

Alexandra's POV

The boys came out after about 30 minutes and they said that the Alpha was not available for a private audience with us but they said that the treaty was that we, Alex and I, would have to stay in the Alpha's territory and become helpers in that we would have chores in exchange for food and shelter. Oh and he also wanted our agreement that we would help each other if there was ever an attack from other Vampires or rogue wolves.

I immediately agreed but Alex hesitated then slowly he agrees. I can't help thinking about Shadow. He makes me mad and furious because of his personality, but he also makes me want him with me. What is going on in my head? I should hate him, its written in the Ancient Book of Secretum that werewolves and vampires don't get along.

Shadow's POV

I knew they would except. They couldn't refuse, it was to good of an offer and plus they were in my territory and I can't believe they didn't smell us. All other creatures can smell us so why can't they? All of this is making it complicated. Especially that goddess of a girl Alexandra. Alexandra? What will she say when she finds out that I am the Alpha? Oh Alexandra.
