CHAPTER 2: In the Dear Forest

Alexander's POV

I don't know why I told Lexi to get her things and meet me in the front door. I walked down stairs and she was already there. As we walked out the front door of our house, well actually it's more like a castle in the middle of Dear Forest but yeah what ever.

As we walked out we stayed quite the whole time and Lexi didn't even try to communicate with me. After 30 minutes of walking in the forest, my sister finally broke the silence."Alex...why did you tell me to get ready? I mean, I had the urge to do it but I didn't want to leave. I know that this is the right thing to do, but WHY?" She said. "Lexi I had to. I had to make us leave because I just couldn't go through with the mating. I saw an opportunity and I took it." I replied. Lexi just sighed. "We ran away so it's not safe to stay in this part of Dear Forest. I think we should go to the forbidden part of the forest and make our stay there." I finally said to her after another 20 minutes of walking. "But Alex we can't go there, it's called 'Forbidden' for a reason" She replied. "I know, but that's the only choice we have. Come on, were vampires, we can protect ourselves." I pulled her next to me because she was falling behind.

I know that that part of the forest is forbidden but like I said we have no other choice. Our father had claimed the southwestern part of Dear Forest as Forbidden because according to him, a big pack of werewolves live there. I'm scared at the idea that something bad will come from this but I have to be strong for Lexi and not let her see my fear.

We arrived at the very heart of the forbidden part of Dear Forest after another day walking when Lexi said, "Can we stop now?" "Yeah, I'll start making our new home okay, you go and find food." I replied. Thankfully I had spend most of a decade building things out of wood so making a house with everything we need won't be a difficulty. I started to get to work and decided on how our new house would look like.

After 3 days I had finished our house. It was a 2 story house and had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. One for each of us in our own room. Downstairs we had another bathroom, a living room, a kitchen and a dinning room. All in all the house was beautiful. "Oh my...I love it Alex, it;s so warm looking and..it's just.. perfect!" Lexi exclaimed when she saw the finished result. We stayed in that part of the woods for about 50 years and never once did we see a werewolf.

Werewolfs POV

I smelled strawberries and the hint of mint. I walked along with my Beta and we came to a stop at a house in the middle of our territory. I saw a vampire outside picking up wood for the winter I supposed. I was in my wolf form so she couldn't hear me when I approached. I growled and she turned around. She screamed out for an Alex. Then I actually saw her face and realized how beautiful she looked, I turn back to my human form so as not to scare her. I realized she was the one that smelled of strawberries and mint. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" I growled as another vampire came next to her who I suppossed was the Alex she was calling for. "My name is Alexandra." The female said but the male pulled her behind him. "This is my brother, Alexander" she said because he was reluctant to say a word to us. "Who are you?" She asked me.

I chuckled a little then replied looking at her only. "My name is Shadow."
