CHAPTER 13: The Ancient Book of Secretum

Lexi's POV

I gasped when I opened the book. The light that it was radiating was so strong that my skin felt uncomfortable. The book started to vibrate a bit and you could hear the faintest hum. "Lexi, go ahead." Alex said to me breaking me out of the trance that the book had me in. I gulped. "Ask it the question. The most important one. Go on." He said again.

"How and where do I find the sword that kills Alec Dracula?" I finally asked it after staring at it for another minute and a half. The book then closed itself and fell on the floor. Then it started flipping the pages until it stopped open. I stared at it and Alex nudged me on the side. I turned to see him and he nodded towards the book with raised eyebrows. I turned towards the book and went to grab it. I hesitated but still picked it up. Alex was looking over my shoulder as we both started to read.

Alex's POV

"Well, when do we go and get it!?" I asked Lexi after we were done reading the answer. "Ha ha wait, Alex, Shadow is the one that needs to kill him not us. Plus I think that Shadow would want to go alone." She answered me before it could say that I wanted to go with him. I pouted and she gave me a grin. "Okay fine but I want to be the one to tell Shadow where he should go!" I said before she could beat me to it. She huffed at me and I smirked. "Come on, the sooner the better!" I said while pulling her off the couch and pushing her towards the door. I didn't even let her complain. I am so proud of myself!

Lexi's POV

He didn't even let me say anything! We were now walking towards Shadows pack house when all of a sudden I was crushed into a hug by someone with blond hair. "Hey Lexi, how are you?" Ella asked. "Gosh Ella! I'm fine, what about you?" I asked. "Well now that Alex is near me, I feel like the happiest girl in the whole world." At that moment I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist to which I was going to turn around and bit the living dayligh's out of the person until I heard Shadow say, "Oh really, I think that's not true, right love." He said after kissing me on the check. I simply nodded my agreement.

"So what are you guys up to?" Ella asked us. "Well, we actually have something to tell, well it's more like inform, but it could be...," I started to say but was cut off. "Lexi!" Everyone said, except for Shadow who simply whispered in my ear, "Love." "I,I'm ssorry...um maybe Alex should say it." I said feeling a bit embarrassed. Shadow must have noticed because he tightened his grip around my waist which made me feel better right away. "What Lexi was trying to say," My brother stated. ", was that we came to inform you, Shadow, about the dream and the information that we found." "Shhh, not here come follow me." Shadow said to the 3 of us. We followed without protesting.

Shadow's POV

I turned to open my door but heard shuffling so I quietly opened my door. I didn't get a chance to see inside because my vision was blocked by a hand. "WHAT THE HELL!" I yelled but then I heard laughter. "Sorry uncle Alpha Shadow, I didn't mean to scare you." Baby Taven said and he let me have my vision again. "What are you doing here?" I asked him. "I'm sorry," He began and I could see his eyes filled with moisture. ",I just wanted to come and play. I thought that maybe auntie Love was going to be here to so when I entered and saw that no one was here, I waited." He finished his explanation. He was crying silently so I picked him up. "That's okay Taven." I said and handed him to Lexi who he immediately wrapped his tiny arms around by the neck. "Baby Taven?," Lexi said to him in a whisper and in response he snuffled and nodded.",do you mind waiting for a little while, me and uncle Alex have something to talk about with auntie Ella and uncle Shadow." She asked him politely. Just watching her, I already wanted to see her with our baby boy. "Okay auntie Love, but you promise to come and get me when you are done?" He asked and Lexi chuckled. "Of course my dear baby wolf." She answered and we all chuckled. his face lit up like a boy getting his present's early on his birthday. And with that he jumped off of her arms and hugged both Alex and Ella by the legs before running out to play. Before I closed the door, baby Taven was already in wolf form play wrestling with another baby wolf.

"Okay, can someone please tell me what the heck is going on her?" I heard Ella say and interrupted me from my thoughts. "Yeah, well Lexi here," Alex started to explain pointing his thumb towards Lexi. I couldn't help but growl at him. ",sorry, anyway she had a dream about her future and your momma, Ms. Rose, helped her interpret it." He finished signaling the "sorry" to me. It took Lexi about 5 minutes to summarize everything. "Okay then, know that only us four, excluding your mother," I added towards Ella.",this information cannot leave the Alpha's." I said in a slight Alpha tone. "Wait, what?" Lexi and Alex said at the same exact time. "Love, you and Alex are now considered Alpha's since we told the clans that you are mine and Ella's mate's." I explained and their faces changed from confusion to understanding. "Now, before we continue, are there any more question's?" I asked because I wanted to get down to business. After they all said "no" in a sort of whisper, I turned to Alex and Lexi. "So what did you guy's find out?" I asked them.

Lexi's POV

i just listened to Alex telling Shadow where he could find the sword and what poison to use on the blade. "Okay the easy part is going to Shanghai to get the sword, but the hardest part is getting the poison." Shadow said after Alex was finished telling Shadow and Ella what we had discovered. "What do you mean? It's impossible to get those things!" I said because I truly couldn't see where he could get a flower called Dhalingnia. I have never heard of it. "Love, I said it was hard not impossible. The flower grows on a small island about 300 miles from our coast. It's just hard to get there because of how you have to get in there." Shadow explained and I just nodded.

"The thing is that the flower is on Were territory but the sword, uh is in vampire territory." Alex stated. I had not thought about that until now. "Can't you just kill Alec with the poisonous plant thingy?" Ella interjected her question. I nodded to her suggestion but I know it won't work. "The book clearly said that the sword, called The Sword of Vida Eterna, is the only sword or object that could kill a vampire of the royal family." I answered her question and she looked down at the floor with an embarrassed face. Alex put his hand on her back and she gave him a small smile. "It doesn't matter, we have to figure out how to get to the sword!" Shadow exclaimed and  Alex agreed with him.

"That's easy." I said. Shadow gave me a questioning look so I quickly added. "Either Alex and me can go with you so you will have permission from a royal to go into vampire territory." I finished and Shadow had the biggest smirk on his face. "Fine, I want you to come with me, Love." Shadow said and that caught me by surprise because I thought that he would want Alex to go with him since he is a guy. "Wwhaat?" I stated with confusion. "Love, I saw how the female's were when their mates were gone, I don't want that for us. And if I had pick Alex, both of us would be in complete pain because of the separation." He said to me while holding my hands in between his own hands. He than kissed me. Not just any kiss but a very passionate kiss at that.

"Now there is one more thing, when do we go?" Alex asked us when we had seperated. "Well, I think it is best to go after the sword first. The sooner we leave the more chances of getting to it before Alec does." Shadow answered. "Oh no you don't!" Ella exclaimed. "What do you mean 'no'?" Shadow said with a growl to which Ella answer, "You can't go because tomorrow is my coming of age birthday party!"

Hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be longer because it will have Ella's party and Shadow explains the aging process to Lexi and vice versa.
